It started working again without anything apparently new on my end. I am guessing the issue was on the Fitbit cloud / server end.

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to our new members.
As mentioned before, there was an issue impacting the Fitbit app on iOS devices which has been solved by our team. Thanks for confirming the Fitbit app is working correctly and for sharing your feedback. We'll keep working to improve your experience with our products, features and services.
@tlynne64 This is odd as your previous data should remain in your Fitbit account. Just to confirm, did you make sure to log into the correct account. It happened to me once, I thought I was logging in with the right account but I wasn't. I had to log out and log back in using the correct email in order to see all my information. To verify this, please follow the steps described here.
@Dareceptionist and @XeNell Thanks for the steps tried on your own and just to confirm, are you still having issues with the Fitbit app? If so, please check if the Fitbit app is updated, force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.

The issue was resolved after several hours. The previous outage was less than a month earlier, which is not satisfactory.
Why can’t the app tell us if there is an issue communicating with the server? This would save us time and effort trying to troubleshoot a problem that is not within our control.

Great point about telling users.

You were off the air for five hours.
You broke your own app. Talking to your own servers.
I don't think "improve" covers this.

@Hiba.B , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.
Could you please elaborate on how does the Inspire 2 crashes? Does it gets blocked, freezer, or restarts itself?
Or does the Fitbit app crash?
If it's the app that is having the issue, our team informed me that this should be resolved by now.

The app started working again the same day by itself. I didn't have to do anything. All ok now.

And I don’t post on here to then be bombarded by men trying to add me as a friend… sort it out. Having checked their profiles with average steps around 100 and only recently created their accounts… these are clearly fake accounts.
