Fitbit won’t connect via Bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have tried everything. My Fitbit randomly disconnected from my Bluetooth and won’t sync, of course. I’ve turned my phone off and back on, updated the app and it still won’t connect. Help please! I’m losing my challenge because I can’t update with 60,000+ steps! And I miss tracking my sleep!

Woke up this morning and Fitbit blaze won’t connect to new iPhone. I have tried all the standard solutions.  Including pairing with other device.  Nothing works. Fitbit either isn’t sending Bluetooth message or there is another issue.

please advise.

Followed all advice on one device. Didn’t work so tried to on another device. Bluetooth working for other hardware. This is definitely a problem with Fitbit. Very disappointed with this product. All my Fitbit’s have broken in some way. Checking out other companies now.

However frustrating it is, I’m glad I’m not the only one with this issue! Tried every troubleshooting tip posted on here to no avail. Seems Fitbit need to come up with an actual solution

If you have a silicone case on your phone try removing it and syncing
(annoying I know). I did this a couple of weeks ago and it worked. I got an
Otter case for my phone today and am reluctant to go to the trouble of
removing it at the moment but I’ll try later on today. If it works I will
be contacting Fitbit cos I don’t want a device that cannot do what I paid
good money to have it do. Good luck with it🌺

I fixed it! I contacted Fitbit via email and I got a link number sent to the Fitbit. This is after so much research. It’s not clear how to do it. I stumbled on it.
Thank you.

Strangely mine doesn’t stay disconnected.... so it is connected now. It may be a problem with the provider, not sure. I think it is better when you have nothing else connected to Bluetooth at the time you are trying to connect, it is a bit of a snob in that regard lol

Thank you for your advice. I have found, for me, it always connects
eventually if I keep the Fitbit app open. I look forward to the day that
this little glitch is remedied.

I am having the same issue and have tried all these “fixes”. My iPhone just cannot find the tracker. Also I have the app installed on my iPad and it does connect to the tracker but will only display cals...the edit function does not work. I do not have the sleep tracking and cannot add it. This whole issue came about at noon on June 23.
There was a Fitbit app update yesterday that I ran...but did not do anything to resolve these issues.

Yes. Very frustrating Samsteps. Mine doesn’t always connect immediately but
if I keep the app open it connects at some point during the day. They are
working to resolve the problem so hopefully all will be well shortly. Enjoy
your day😀

My Fitbit inspire suddenly won't connect with Bluetooth. It just keeps buffering. Like you I've tried everything. And Bluetooth is the least of my problems with my FitBit. Tracking my sleep is the biggest. It says I've only slept 2 hours, sometimes 51 minutes. Went on like this for months. My doctor put me on enough sleep meds to stun a horse. Fitbit still says sleeping 2 hrs. maybe 3.

I stopped wearing it to bed because it made me so anxious. I left it in the bathroom. Twice it "recorded" my sleep. Once was 1 hr and 42 minutes. I don't sleep in my bathroom. Not only is it cheap hardware, in my case it's dangerous. Throwing it away and will never buy a Fitbit product again.

I am so sorry to hear this.  The only problems I have is with bluetooth syncing (and it does eventually sync, when I'm not looking so I don't stress about it anymore), and the light doesn't turn on when i flick my wrist, I have to press the button :).  I have been wearing Fitbit for years, this one being the last of three models I have worn.  I have never had problems before that Fitbit could not fit immediately (very satisfactory service).  I am thinking that as technology continues to get more and more complicated we will see problems, especially on small devices.  I am sure if you speak with Fitbit that will be happy to replace your fitbit (is it is still under warranty) so, don't let any time pass in case you run out of warranty. I hope you will be able to have some resolution to your problem and that your Fitbit can finally suit you medical needs.  Blessings 🙂
