If you are still experiencing this issue, we would love to investigate further. The following would help our team review:
We appreciate the additional details.
Fitbit Update 07/16/2018: Hey everyone -- We have just released an update to the Fitbit app for iOS, version 2.53.1 which we believe resolves the issues with food logging that have been reported in this thread. Please update to 2.53.1 and let me know of the results so I can quickly communicate that to our iOS team.
Again, thank you for your continued patience as we worked to get this resolved ASAP.

Thanks everyone for your patience on this. We sincerely apologize to anyone who has been affected by this issue and have been working hard to find a fix. Hello,
I was wondering if there is an update since yesterday in regards to the problems with IOS 2.53 and logging of food?

I haven't updated my iphone; still running iOS 11.31.1 and I am having trouble logging food. It converts my choice into something else and then others disappear. Please help. When will you have a fix? Why is this happening if we haven't updated anything?

Agreed! Same issue.

Just another voice chiming in for the record - this issue is becoming very annoying.
Doesn't seem to be totally random though. Some foods are logged OK, while others are consistently logged as something else entirely. My cheese was just indeed scanned as cheese, but my crackers came out as crimini mushrooms. I just rechecked my breakfast, and my granola is still coming out as chocolate whey protein, and blackberries show up as brown eggs.
Hope they fix this soon.

Yep woke up this morning to an automatic update and now all entries are deleted after a few seconds and some are changed to completely new items that I've never even logged before they disappear.

Mine is doing the exact same thing! It is so aggravating. the food either disappears, or I click on a food I frequently log, and suddenly it appears as something else! For example, I tried logging sugar free Red Bull, and it kept adding cranberry redbull into the log. What the heck is going on?

Mines has gone wonky today also. No matter what I log it tells me it’s a cheese triangle!!!

Did you read the previous posts above, including mine which was marked as a solution?

Since this morning my food intake is disappearing as quick as I log it! So frustrating! Iv logged into fitbit website and logged it there but it’s not coming up on the app at all. Please fix ASAP

Mine is also doing that, it will add the calories but the item disappears. Or, it puts in a different item and calorie count altogether. All these issues are very frustrating.

I’m having the same problem. It allows me to log food correctly on my iPad and computer, but not on my iPhone.

I’m having same problem with my iPhone 6 running latest iOS and latest Fitbit app update. Changing my breakfast items of orange juice and crumpets to chicken teriyaki and my sandwich from greggs to a salt and pepper bagel and tofu?!?!

It’s not a solution - the problem still exists. It’s only a cumbersome workaround. Fitbit should be doing more to solve it quickly even if it’s just reinstating the previous version.

I’m also having the problem with the app not accepting my food or a different food I didn’t enter appearing. Very frustrating

When I enter food it either disappears or doesn’t input the correct item.
