Fitbit Update 5/5

I have great news!  We have pushed out a fix in the latest version (2.22.1) that resolves this problem. Click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store. Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.

Fitbit Update 5/1
It was recently pointed out that some iOS users are missing their sync progress bar and battery indicator on their dashboard after updating to Fitbit iOS App version 2.22. In order to investigate this issue, can you please provide the following information:

  1. What type of iOS device are you using?
  2. What iOS version is it running (ie iOS 9.3, iOS 8, etc)?
  3. Does the problem persist after logging out of the App and then back in?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have had this problem on my iPad IOS 9.3.1, this morning when I opened the Fitbit app dashboard the device status (device connected, sync and battery indicator) was missing.  This afternoon when I opened the app, the status line was back on the dashboard.  Over the past few days when I open the app, the device status line would sometimes be there and sometimes not.

1) iPhone 6 Plus
2) iOS 9.3.2
3) The problem corrects itself temporarily when clearing from the background and restarting the app.

My wife is also having the same problem as well

I find the missing line very aggravating too. Please bring it back to us!

Have you tried restarting the app? I found that on my iOS app, that if I double click, and swipe up on the app, the device segment (Surge with battery level) re-appears. I have also found that if I close the app with the Activity Goal open, when I restart the app, going back still has the device segment showing, but if I close the app with the dashboard showing the device segment is missing. Hope that helps others until this problem is fixed by Fitbit.

My iPad is iOS 9.3.1. Not able to see my Charge HR on dashboard anymore. Can't see if syncing, battery status or if app is even looking for my unit unless I go to Account. Horribly awkward.

Exactly, I have found it is only a temporary fix by rebooting the phone - mines an iPhone 6. It really does defeat the object of having the app and being able to see your actual heart rate at the same time as the rest of your stats. FitBit support really need to wok on this ASAP!

Shows after logging out, but disappears not long after again.

It's only a temporary fix - I have the 5s. Fitbit fix this!!

If you flick the app away (double click the home button to see your background running apps) and re-open fresh it comes back. Needs fixed but better than logging off/restarting phone.

My Fitbit app is doing the same thing. I have a Fitbit Charge, I am currently on iOS 9.3.1 and I have removed the app and re-installed it and it will work sometimes when I sync, but not other times.

From the beginning of my Fitbit Charge HR purchase and use of the Fitbit app a header has been shown at the top of the dashboard which shows an image of my device along with the battery status and ability to sync on demand. With your most recent update this is now disappearing periodically and only reappears if I restart the app. I am very unhappy with this ridiculous change and wonder why developers can't leave well enough alone sometimes! By this header disappearing it creates extra hoops to jump through to access these features. Please bring back the perpetual showing of this header!

My subject should read "Disappearing Charge HR Status Header," not "HD." I could not find s way to edit my post.

I noticed that my status bar reappears for one time / temporary  if I log out of of app completely. Close it then re log in on opening. However if I do not fully log out of app when I close it, when I enter app again the Charge HR status is again lost, missing from the dashboard. Super Pain as it takes so much time to fully log in every time I want to update/sync during the day.

I had this problem with my iPhone 6 as well. I was reading through some of the other posts on this subject. On an iPhone, if you clear your homepage apps, the problem clears up and stays cleared! If you don't know how to do this -

1. Exit the fitbit app and press the home button twice

2. All of your recently used apps show on top of eachother

3. Go through each one and swipe upwards to remove it

4. You will get to the point where only your homepage on the phone shows

When you return to the fitbit app, the dashboard screen will show as expected. This clearing is a good idea to do periodically anyway on iPhones and iPads.

I use the iPad and iOS version 9.3. This has been happening since the update. If I log out of the app and log back in, the heading bar is back on the dashboard. If I leave the app and come back later, it is gone again. Please fix this! Also, steps in real time only works sometimes. I think the update needs an update!

I have the Surge on an iPhone 6+ with iOS 9.3.  After the recent update to the Fitbit App my Device tile dissapeared.  Then it reappears later in the day and frequently dissapears again later on.  This happens every day (today it was gone again this morning but when I just opened the app a few minutes ago it had reappeared).  Logging out of the App has no effect on whether the tile is visible.
