Fitbit Update 5/5

I have great news!  We have pushed out a fix in the latest version (2.22.1) that resolves this problem. Click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store. Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.

Fitbit Update 5/1
It was recently pointed out that some iOS users are missing their sync progress bar and battery indicator on their dashboard after updating to Fitbit iOS App version 2.22. In order to investigate this issue, can you please provide the following information:

  1. What type of iOS device are you using?
  2. What iOS version is it running (ie iOS 9.3, iOS 8, etc)?
  3. Does the problem persist after logging out of the App and then back in?

Thanks in advance for your help!

HELP! this is happening to us as well, it's driving me nuts as I use my app to watch steps in real time. It's awful!
I now have to go elsewhere and make it sync! A horrible BUG. can anything be done about it?

the same thing here, and it won't show real steps in time. I use my steps to track how far out I run. The only way I can sync now is to go into account, then pick my charge, then physically make it sync. YUCK!!

I updated the app on my iPad no have also lost the hiding and sync part on my dashboard, plus the battery level indicator. It still seems to sync, but I want the indicator that syncing is taking place and want to be able to check the battery level. I have no idea what to do, am definitely not a techie. Fitbit needs to fix their last update!

I've got the same issue--and no response from Fitbit as to what the actual changes to the app are. Come on...You make a change and we have to guess what they are? Just tell us. Simple!

The sync/battery in 2,22 is now under "Account"--which makes no sense. For something as frequent as syncing it should remain on the "Home" page. Agree. Bad move.

I had the same problem and the real time heart rate also disappeared although I could still see the resting heart rate. I tried restarting my phone but this didn't work. Logging out of the app and back in did work for me and I've now got the full display back.

I logged out of the app then logged back in and the display went back to normal with the device displaying at the top.

Hi @Chickiepotpie

Since being a app related question, moved this thread from the Charge HR to the iOS section to increase the chance of getting a solution.

I did the update yesterday and the battery life on my dash board is gone!!! How do I get it back???? This is how I knew I needed to charge my Fitbit and would do it at night. Now I have no idea when it needs to be charges unless I check my account page, and who does that daily?!?! I lost over 300 steps and 2 sets of chairs because my Fitbit had to be charged this morning. Thanks for any help!

My main dashboard on my iOS app used to show my device as the top, as well as how my battery was doing and if it was syncing. That has completely disappeared. My HR is still there, connected, and working fine, I just have to now go into my Account tab to see it instead of having it on my main display. Has anyone else had this happen and do you know how to get it back? Flipping between the two is so cumbersome!

I dislike the newest iOS app update because now on my home screen I can't see my battery level or if my Fitbit is syncing. This is a HUGE disappointment

I'm having the same problem on my HR charge. Just started a few days ago. Was it some update? Any answers/solutions are appreciated!

There was an update on 4/28/16 - 2.22 (493)

Besides having to go to another tab to see my battery status and sync status, my HR seems to only show resting HR now, not active HR.  I can't find active HR anywhere on the iOS display, although I can read the active HR on my fitbit itself.

I just read on another thread that if you restart your phone it restores the dashboard to the old view.  I tried it and it worked!  Yay!

Mine seems to switch back after awhile. If I close the app the charge will be back at the top syncing but later it's gone again and I have to go back into account >charge>sync now
