Same data for consecutive days

On my Versa 2 the app has recently started shown the same data for consecutive days. Shows 7034 steps today, 7034 steps yesterday &  7035 steps Monday. The previous days are correct. If I close & restart app it sorts out, but after an hour or so problem back again.

On line chat support say restart app (which I’d told home I already had), resrtatt phone, turn off Bluetooth & repair, delete app & reinstall then setup again. Done all that but doesn’t fix.

Anyone else having the problem? Any suggestions?

Hi everybody! Thank you for your messages, information and feedback.

I haven't posted anything  yet, as we do not have any updates to add. Our team confirmed to me that this is one of their priorities and the information you all provided about your devices will help them a lot.

@Golfchess , @lehbird  Thank you for confirming that the new app update solved this for you.

@All Our team is releasing a new app update in the next few days. Looking at Golfchess comment, I recommend you all to keep an eye open for any app update available and update it as soon as you can.

After the update at least now it only repeats 5 of the last 7 days, but I am sure it will go back to the 7 of 7 days repeating soon.

Oh maybe still rolling it out? Mine is not fixed yet and no software update available. I have a charge 6. Excited to hear it’s been fixed for others!

@CJRSF On 8/16/24 I posted a way to see the correct information. Rather than clicking to see each prior day individually (which shows the "same" steps data) you can select the steps tile. Then select the "Week" view, which will show the different steps for each day in a bar format. Tap on any day's bar, and you will see the number of steps for that particular day. So the temporary solution is to go to the "Week" view of your steps.

Here is a pic of what I mean:

Are you fixing this for all models? I still use my Fitbit One from 2012 - (THE best and most accurate counter BTW - believe me, I have tried numerous and counted steps and the One is 100%l accurate while others are off or way off) - anyway - is the fix being rolled out for all devices? Is it a software fix or is it by model? I am sure there will not be a big rush for a model that is 12 years old. Thanks

Hello, I’ve tried all of the suggestions mentioned in this forum to no avail.  I have a Fitbit one and the app shows the same number of steps every single day. I deleted and reinstall the app,  I removed the Fitbit one from the app, then added it back on. I turned off and on Bluetooth, I power down and powered on my iPhone.  Absolutely nothing works, and I have only the Fitbit app. Really frustrating.  Kindly advise and thank you.

@starbird89 please see if the workaround instructions I posted on 8/31/24 help you to see the correct daily step totals from the "Week" view of steps.

Wow. Didn’t know all that. And here ol’ innocent me thinks they are doing their darnedest working away to solve it. Wow. Come on, Google. Give us the real deal here. If you are not fixing this then you need to tell us. Simple. A lot of us have other products of yours and it is much worse to string people along than to just tell them the bad news. Not dealing with this can impact other products as people are very committed to their Fitbits and if we are being stung along, this is it not cool. Be honest. Be open. Keep your customers. May not be your way, but you know what? It should be. Learn for this. Move on. Let us move on.

Not the most convenient way but at least it looks correct.  My Inspire 2 just started having the same issue.  If I keep syncing to my iPhone 12 it will occasionally give the right steps but the next time it goes to several days in a row with the current days steps.  I’ll watch the thread for when the update fixes this.

Hi,  There is no "week view of steps" that I can see.   There are tons of people on this forum with the same exact issue.  When will this be resolved?  Thanks so much.

@starbird89 I use the app on my iPad. When I tap the steps to see the hourly details of the current day, it gives the option to see the "week" and "month" results in a bar format. Then when I tap the bar for each day, I can see the total steps for each individual day.

-------

@starbird89 I'm so sorry it didn't work for you...I was hoping this would work for everyone as a workaround.

-------

@Ronstepper I just wanted to make a note that mine has been fine for weeks and is still fine now. I just did a search back on a number of days and every day is fine. I am using an Inspire 3 and use my app on an iPad.
