Same data for consecutive days

On my Versa 2 the app has recently started shown the same data for consecutive days. Shows 7034 steps today, 7034 steps yesterday &  7035 steps Monday. The previous days are correct. If I close & restart app it sorts out, but after an hour or so problem back again.

On line chat support say restart app (which I’d told home I already had), resrtatt phone, turn off Bluetooth & repair, delete app & reinstall then setup again. Done all that but doesn’t fix.

Anyone else having the problem? Any suggestions?

I have the same problem on my Charge 5. And this is probably the 4th time that this is happening. I switched everything off and on again. I restarted my watch. I removed my Fitbit device and added it again. I deleted the Fitbit app and installed it again. It is still not fixed. And it can’t be normal to do this over and over again? Please help. I only have 1 Charge 5 Fitbit linked. I am not enjoying this.

This is still happening with v4.19 of the iOS app.  Why can't Google just fix the app so it works properly the first time.  Interestingly for me it is only the Steps and Distance that are effected as the Active Minutes and Calories update properly.  It would be fantastic if Google fixed the app rather than breaking it further.  And they want / are removing the Web Dashboard which, for the present, still functions pretty well.

I’m having the same issue every single day has the same amount of steps. The calorie amounts are slightly different. There must be something wrong with the app. I’ve done everything it said to do.

I’ve had this happen on my Inspire 3 also.

Yes I’m STILL having this issue and I don’t understand why it isn’t being addressed.
I’ve owned a few Fitbit’s over the years and never had this problem until now.
I mean the whole point of having a fitness tracker at the very basic level is to track steps and this can’t even do that!

When mine did that I would click on other things or turn the app off and back on.

It seems that the app shows weird data at times, but since I recognized that the data was wrong, I just kept clicking, etc. until it showed the correct info, which it eventually did.

The app seems to have a slow reaction time. Sometimes it shows the wrong info, but if you wait a moment, it will correct the data after a few seconds.

However, it also does the REVERSE! Sometimes it shows the CORRECT info FIRST. Then a couple of seconds later it changes it to the WRONG info.

Yes I’ve done the same but we should not have to do that. And for it to happen day in and day out for months now is completely unacceptable.

And I don’t think it’s due to a slow to react or a delayed response, it’s simply a terrible programming job!

I agree that we should definitely not have to do that. We should be able to trust and depend on the data we receive from the program.

As far as the "delayed response", I think that is part of the programming bug causing incorrect data to be shown, and then not shown.

Only the correct data should be shown.

I think it may also be associated with a bug in the iOS program.

When dictating into iOS, it often starts a new sentence with a small letter rather than a CAPITAL letter.

And it sometimes bounces back to the correct letter type.

This bouncing between correct and incorrect data is an iOS bug since it happens when entering audio data.

So maybe the Fitbit bug is running into something in iOS which is causing the problem.

So annoying and definitely puts my off having another fitbit

My Versa 2 has been recoding the same info on consecutive days as well. I have done all the things the original poster mentioned but am still experiencing the same issue. I recently installed a new update. Could this be a bug in the update? Please advise how to resolve this problem. It’s incredibly annoying.

But this has been happening since October. What is “soon”?

How long has your team known about this and what's the ETA? This has been happening for months for me, my past data is worthless now.

There are posts from 2020 with this exact issue. I'm really curious how long this issue has been worked.
