Hi all,
I'm unable to disable the reminder to move notification -- whenever I do, it keeps resetting back to "enabled" after syncing with the device.
How to reproduce
When I press:
* Profile picture -> Charge 4 device image
I can see that there's a button called "Reminder to move" which is set to ON.
There's a button which is called "Sync now" as well.
I press "Reminder to Move", and from the new view I toggle it from ON to OFF.
I go back by pressing the button at the top-left to the previous view where I can see the summary of the settings.
The "Reminder to Move" is showing OFF, but the "Sync now" button turns to "Syncing..." and once that syncing is done, the "Reminder to Move" turns to ON again automatically.
Locale: Sweden/Swedish
Should I return it? I've tried resetting the app, restarting the phone, uninstalling the app and reinstalling it.

Hi everyone. It's good to see you participating in the Community Forums.
I've moved some of your posts to keep the forums organized. Thanks for your efforts while working on this matter, as well as sharing your feedback. Our team continues working to bring a solution to all our members and while there isn't a time frame to get this fixed, let me recommend using the fitbit.com dashboard to adjust some of your settings such as the reminders to move, wrist settings or daily goals. Please don't forget to sync with the Fitbit app afterwards to make sure the changes are applied to your Fitbit device.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and please know your feedback hasn't gone unnoticed.

I’m having the same issue with my versa 3. I logged out of the app, restarted my phone, restarted the watch…tried over and over and every time I change it to off and it syncs it turns it back on.

I am wearing my Luxe on my dominant wrist. However when I fill this in in the app. It syncs and automatically goes back to non-dominant. I’ve tried it multiple times and mutliple days. Anyone know how I can switch it correctly in another way?

@1Anonymous1- After you toggle the reminders to move off, do you use the left arrow at the top of the screen to return? There may be a difference to the back button in certain cases, just a guess.
Alternatively you can try
In Android phone Settings * Apps Fitbit Storage - clear cache [not data] Force Fitbit Stop [though it doesn't seem to fully] Log back in to the Fitbit app
*Quick Shortcut: Press and hold the Fitbit launch icon, then App info [on some phones] |
This does a bit more clearing of problems than a logout.
Or for IOS uninstall/reinstall the Fitbit App, and redo all notification and any Pay setup. |

Hello @Michelle189 and welcome to the Help forum. Fitbit has a web dashboard that allows you to make these changes. Go to fitbit.com using a web browser and sign in with the same username/password that you use on your phone app.
What type of phone do you use, Android or iPhone? This sounds like an app bug that needs to be reported.

Hello @promenad. Welcome to the community forums!
Thank you very much for the detailed information and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried prior to posting. Before you decide to return your Charge 4, I'd recommend following the troubleshooting steps below:
Quick Shortcut: Press and hold the Fitbit launch icon, then App info (on some phones). Take into consideration that the instructions may vary depending on the model of your phone, however, this does a bit more clearing of problems than a logout.
In addition, please check: What are the reminders I see on my Fitbit device?
Hope this helps.

Hi @WilsonFitbit!
I forgot to mention that I'm on iOS -- and those settings does not look available on iOS (and the cache is actually removed when uninstalling the app on iPhone too).
I did manage to solve it actually -- I restarted the Charge 4 device by swiping left on the clock to settings -> about -> restart device. While the Fitbit was restarting, I unchecked the "Reminder to Move" toggle in the app. When the Fitbit then came back online, it did not override the setting any longer.
Hope the bug report is useful regardless, or for anyone else who fall into this trap.

@promenad Thank you for your reply.
I appreciate your help in resolving this matter and thanks for sharing the tips you've followed. On a side note, thank you for letting me know that those options seem to be different on your own mobile device. Actually, the settings may vary depending on the model or OS of each mobile device.
See you around.

Hello @1Anonymous1 and welcome to the Help forum. Are you following this path to turn off your reminders to move? From the Today screen > Reminders to move tile > gear icon > toggle to Off? Try this path instead. Tap on your profile picture > Sense > scroll down to Reminders to Move (it should be on the Sense -- it is on the Versa 3, which has the same OS) > toggle it off there.
I recently had an annoying long plane flight. I turned off my RTM using the first path, yet was bothered by them on my entire flight and a part of my vacation. They got toggled back on, just like the OP described. After I found the second path, I enjoyed a nice, lazy vacation.

fitbit Luxe is defaulting to turn off the reminders to move.
I turn it on on the app. And then it turns off by itself two seconds later when it syncs.
I have tried resetting my luxe 3 times and it hasn’t helped.

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @Cloe284.
Thank you for trying to resolve the issue with your Fitbit Luxe before contacting us.
I would recommend setting up your Tracker as a replacement device:
Then, please make sure to turn on Reminders to move by following the instructions in this article in the menu "How do I turn reminders to move on or off on my Fitbit device?".
Hope this helps.

I want to wear my watch on my left hand, which is my dominant hand. I broke my right wrist years ago and it’s not comfortable on it. I change the wrist to dominant on the app and it almost immediately reverts back to non dominant. Any suggestions please?

I have tried changing my main goal from steps to active zone minutes several times. When I make the change, the syncing process automatically starts and then my goal reverts back to steps every time. I have restarted a couple of times. Any ideas?
