Sleep data is recording ok, my sleep stages are recorded, my sleep data shows up on app and can compare to 30 days average with black dots to indicate averages but when Benchmark is chosen only my last sleep stages night data is shown in a line graph BUT no shaded area is apparent indicating averages for others in my age group.
Using a Versa 3 Fitbit and iOS app on Apple SE 2020 phone . Does anyone else find the same, it only happened since the app layout seemed to change recently, no problem with old layout? Any help would be appreciated.

This was the old fitbit style of showing the benchmark that was very helpful. This is not what the new benchmark looks like. Alas, like many others have stated, I cannot see the benchmark shading once the new and not improved displays appeared without my asking on my fitbit app. It's really too bad they didn't test the app more thoroughly. I had encouraged a friend to get a fitbit recently, but both she and I are very disappointed with the new data displays.

That's the same problem I am having. It seems that an update that I received a few days ago removed the shaded areas on the Benchmark. The old Benchmark was so helpful. I am not happy with the new "update".

The new, degraded interface does not display those anymore. Other sleep data seems ok.

This is a known problem that has been reported by many people on this forum and Google is doing absolutely nothing to help resolve the issues.
Return yours for a replacement if you can, because devices that work always work and devices that don't rarely do for short periods of time, at best.

@brk68 Fitbit is aware of this issue, although there’s no estimate on a fix for it.

Exactly! If Google can't resolve a simple missing data series issue on the app bar chart in a timely fashion, then I have little hope that Google will be able to resolve the missing detailed sleep cycle data and heart metrics issues on the device side either.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.
Thank you for your continued reports and the additional information you've shared. As I mentioned before, the issue with the sleep screen not showing the benchmark ranges has been escalated, and our team is working to identify a solution as soon as possible.
I understand your concern and appreciate your feedback. Rest assured that I'll keep updating this thread with new information as it becomes available.

Typically, when a company rolls out changes to their app, they make an announcement to their users. They outline the changes and explain how and why they are an improvement and how to use the new features. Fitbit did not do this. We just opened the app one day and everything was different without any explanation. I have no idea what the vertical bar does that you can put your finger on and move across the sleep chart. It seems useless to me in addition to no indication of why benchmarks are no longer indicated. They also removed the explanations for each stage of sleep and how they affect you. This lack of communication about the rollout is very disappointing and unprofessional on the part of Fitbit and I don't find it an improvement at all.

Why oh why are workers paid to sit around and ruin things? Let’s get the sleep tracking corrected.
No warning, no pilot program, no focus group.
Just horrible.

I agree that this new update is dreadful. The old interface was just fine. Bring it back please. Extremely annoyed there was no notice of changes. I also have no sleep benchmark. Can Fitbit tell me what about the new interface is any kind of improvement?

The new graph breaking down the sleep is also much more difficult to understand than the previous bar chart imho

Yes, you’re still using the old app. The new one has changed the sleep graph section, and the benchmark button simply doesn’t work!

As of 28 April 2024, THEY ARE GONE! The Firbit app keeps getting worse with every "update". Fitbit devices are no longer worth the money IMHO!
