Step streak reset to zero on iOS Fitbit app

My streak was broken 8 days ago despite me not having failed my step goal. I believe this was caused by me lacking internet connection so the app not updating with my full steps. I would like to resolve this and restore my streak.

Yeah. I don’t even know the backend but pretty sure I gave them the temporary solution to update the database entry until they can figure out what’s causing the issue. Pretty sad that they don’t want to assist their customers. My 365th day is October 31st. Was pretty excited to post my 365 day streak on Facebook. So much for that. Thanks Fitbit.

STEP STREAK TILE I believe many community members would love to have a steps retail in the application. We would not have to remember the length of our step streak after we closed the banner. When I could see I would have loved to have had a line graph and relevant data available to me. Picture it a line graph showing our steps with the bar going across it showing our goal. It would be great to be able to see the leng Power step streaks and the length of breaks between step streets.

in feature suggestions I suggested a streak tile for this specific purpose. It’s been a couple of days and no one has thought that it would be helpful. I was hoping based on on the problems with step Street information it would have received at least one vote. My thought was the Google Fitbit or Fitbit google whoever they are would then have to make a commitment to the step straight and not just to a step streak banner.

Has anyone had their step streak (days in a row) suddenly get reset out of the blue?! I should be at 269 days as of today otherwise! Grr 😖

Update. Friday my streak reset to 5 days. Synced Saturday and Sunday but it didn’t update my streak. Streak was updated today and sent me back to 4 days. 🤔 This app has gone loco!!!

I have been having this issue since JANUARY. My streak has reset at least 4 times. The streak is my motivation to get out there and take a walk every day. I have gotten virtually no response from Fitbit. I've been told they're working on it...reset my tracker...all crap. I even upgraded to a newer/better model in hopes that my old tracker was the problem. It wasn't. I'm beginning to feel like they don't care about this issue. It's been 10 months. How hard can it be to fix?

If it’s recent update 3.69 does not appear to have corrected the step streak issues. Now that Fitbit is advertising it’s part of Google it might make sense to contact Google support and place a ticket with them. It is my understanding that Google Fitbit software developers are working with Fitbit to address multiple issues. I have my fingers crossed that Google well for Fitbit developers to address the issues we have brought up in the community regarding the Fitbit application software and those issues that are also part of the Fitbit database.

Hi, you keep mentioning that the team is aware of this but have never said anyone is working on it. This topic was moved under this new heading so it could be tracked better. There are additions every day but never a mention that it is being looked at. Mine and my wife’s streak were both just reset again and we would like to see this resolved.

I don't have an update 3.69 available. Last one was 3.68.1

Version 3.69 was released this week. It is my understanding that Fitbit rolls out the updates over time.

Sent from my iPhone gave up on the Fitbit customer care team a long time ago. Last month I contacted the Google accessibility support team for assistance because I am blind. The information I provided which included problems with sleep time, steps Greek, active minutes screen formats and accessibility or forwarded to the Google fit bit software team. I was told that Google software developers were taking an active interest in the Fitbit application and database software. I also received an email from Fitbit disability support confirming our conversation.

Mine reset again sometime last week and my 560 day streak is now a 12.  I've put a Garmin on my Christmas list, I'm just done.

Me, too. Just done. It's clear they have no intention of fixing this.

I just noticed this on mine today, says I’m on a 5 day streak when I’m actually on day 433. I worked REALLY HARD to achieve this.  Tried the whole log out, force quit , restart your phone and log back in to no avail,  why can’t this be fixed?  Doesn’t seem to be a new issue.  I just updated the app 5 days ago too, I doubt it’s a coincidence. 👎🏻

Unfortunately they just don’t care. Their lack of response is pretty much proof of that. I’ve worked in an IT support role long enough to know this is the worst service they could provide.

I agree. It is clear that they do not care. I sense they invest time and employee effort into selling more devices…that they don’t support.  Hello Garmin. Hello AppleWatch.

Yes. Lots of people. That they do not care about.  C’mon FitBit respond to us and tell us what you are DOING versus monitoring. Which is the same as watching. Fix it.

I installed update 3.70 yesterday. Today when I reached my step goal it said 33 days. My step streak started October 10, 2020 and if the application had fix the issue it should have read 753 days.

Fitbits description of the update and what had been changed was standard boiler plate. I don’t know what has changed but so far I can see a lot of things that have not yet been addressed. I should’ve said here instead of C in that I am a blind user using an Apple iPhone and they are VoiceOver screen reader.

I knew an update wouldn’t solve the issue. An update is not going to go back through the database and look at previous history. Fitbit has been trying to fool people into believing an update would fix the issue for people already broken. I finished my 365 days on October 31st. No fanfare. No step streak. Thanks for nothing Fitbit.

I installed the update and it reset my step streak to 4 (again). App hasn’t allowed the streak to grow beyond 15 in the last three months, even though I have not missed a day.

I had an over 770 day streak disappear. Then it was stuck on 7 days for 4 days in a row. I have an iPhone SE  IOS 16.0.2. I believe this happened after an update, but I can’t be sure as I just update all apps at once without checking which ones are being updated. Syncing has been bad/slow for about a year, with it often saying multiple times that it can’t sync.
I have tried the steps you listed already, as well as deleting and reinstalling the app and rebooting the Fitbit itself.

Fitbit stopped syncing to my Apple 13 IOS 15.6.2.  Tried all the steps nothing.  Called Fitbit they had me deleting the app and reloading.  That totally disabled.  Now I have a useless piece of metal.  At least before the assistance from customer service the unit itself tracked but didn't sync.  Now without an app, it's just a piece a piece of metal.  This is the second tracked I have purchased that has failed within 16mths.  Is Fitbit really designed to work with Apple.  I love the Fitbit tracking metrics but I'm very scared about buying a 3rd one especially since Fitbit will be moving to a Goggle android platform.  Feel like Fitbit is forcing me into the Apple watch.  Can you give me any confidence that Apple will still be supported?  Thank you.

This is never going to get fixed.  I’ve resided to getting another app for my goal streak.  I’m done. Take me out of this stream, Fitbit!
