We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

The problems started with iOS 13 and fitbit are still investigating the problem. Keep an eye on the following thread where they are posting updates and recommendations to try:

Hi I have the same problem with my blaze. I bought a new Iphone 11 Pro which came with IOS 13 and it still happeded through to the current 13.1.2

  • Vibrates when I get a call (Good) continues to vibrate once ive answered (not good)
  • Not vibrating when I make a call - when its ringing (what you'd expect) Vibrates when the call gets answered or when it goes to voicemail (not good)

Ive reset the Blaze, ive done everything that Fitbit suggested via the app.

I discovered last night that my fitbit Charge 3 was not syncing with my phone.  Saw the notice and tried to follow the directions to reset.  I finally had to restart the fitbit and it seemed to work.  This morning the fitbit was not syncing with my phone so I tried again to restart the fitbit, but it did not work.  I have now tried twice to restart the fitbit, and it is not working.  I am extrremely annoyed about this because I had to get a new device  after my previous one no longer synced with my phone.

Once I started to get my text on my Fitbit, I went back to settings and I undid the lock screen on the notification., but kept the options at the bottom to show previews ( When unlock as default). As of now I’m still getting text. Hope this works for you as well!

Update, my phone has now synced with my fitbit.  But how long will it last?  As per my previous message I had finally gotten it to sync before I went to bed, only to discover when I woke up that it stopped syncing. As I typed this, I checked my phone  and discovered the phone isn't recognizing my fitbit -- AGAIN.

Did you try all of this steps?

First open your Fitbit app

Tap your profile picture in upper left

scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”

scroll down and tap notifications

enable the notifications you want in green

now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page

Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly:

go to:

device iOS settings>location services >Fitbit>Always on

also Go to:

iOS setting>Fitbit>Location>Always on

also go to:

iOS settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews

Now Go to your Bluetooth:

Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your Fitbit device Turn on the Share System Notifications.

I did all of these plus I removed my Fitbit and installed it again. I removed the app as well. The only thing that seemed to work was the show previews, when I changed that my text came back to my Fitbit. I just hid them from my lock screen
