We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

I’ve been thinking about ya @Ywrona and it bothers me I can’t help you. I was wondering if it would help to get that “i” to show in your Bluetooth if you restarted your Blaze that that might work. Sort of like a rebirth of your tracker. You will not lose your date doing this. Let’s try this:

  1. log out of your Fitbit app
  2. restart your Blaze by doing this:
  3. Find the Back and Select buttons on your Fitbit Blaze (left and bottom right). Press and hold the Back and Select buttons for about 10 seconds, until you see the Fitbit logo appear. Release the buttons.
  4. log back into your Fitbit app and sync

Now lets do this:

  1. Please look at and complete all these steps:
  2. Tap your profile picture in upper left
  3. scroll down to the name of your Fitbit and tap it (It’s located just under “My Family”
  4. scroll down and tap notifications
  5. enable the notifications you want in green
  6. now simply tap “today” at the bottom of your screen to get back to the main page

Now lets make sure your iOS device is set up correctly, go to:

device>settings>location services >Fitbit> select Always

also, go to:

device setting>Fitbit>Location>select Always

then go to:

device settings >notifications >messages>Select always under show previews

now go to your Bluetooth settings and look for your Blaze and see if there is a small letter “ i “ with a circle around it. If there is tap that little “ i “ and see if now the Shared notifications appears. If so enable it.

If your able to complete all that try sending yourself a text.

😃 I’m hoping for success. Keep me posted

Hello again @RAV3

Im not sure if your having issues getting your notifications still and need help. Can you again try all the steps I just provided @Ywrona in the above post. Except I don’t know which Fitbit tracker you have so look here first: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/?q=Restart&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1  Find your particular tracker and do a restart on your tracker as well. Then follow the rest of the instructions in the above post.

😉 I truly hope this helps you as well. Keep me posted

Same problem here with IONIC... have tried everything but ever since update nothing has worked.  Very frustrated I hope that this can be sorted as it is one of the reasons I have the device.

It's incredibly frustrating that in order to see my texts on my Fitbit, they have to be readable on my phone screen. I'm not sure how something that should be so basic, and that worked without any issues before, suddenly doesn't. I guess Fitbit wants me to finally bite the bullet and get an Apple watch 😕

yes I hate that I have to change that setting too.  Although even with that changed it is hit or miss on text coming to fitbit.
