I was right there with you and started shopping for an Apple Watch. However, after trying all the trouble shooting steps multiple times, today I was able to get text notifications.
it’s confusing because of all the settings. For me, it was the message preview setting. I had my phone set to only and the name and no preview.
So,
Settings>Notificaions>s roll down through all the apps until you find messages>set to show preview.
Hope this helps.

This worked for me but I am still not totally happy with it. Seems to me that there should be a way for them to fix this without sacrificing privacy.

Notifications/messages/show preview/always
I toggled them all off and on again and it started working. It’s hit or miss I think. Good luck!

I gave up on y’all after being a Fitbit fan for 6 years, I’ve switched to Apple and love it. Haven’t had any issues. I was patient but looks like it still isn’t fixed!

None of these have worked for me. I put in a “ticket” months ago and I have gotten no response. About to have to buy an Apple Watch
