hmmm...saw your post about needing to give Fitbit access to your contacts in order to receive notifications. For my charge 3, I didn’t provide access to my contacts but am able to get notifications of texts by following the steps in my earlier post (around page 39 on this string)

Hi @Pannh - try this: remove your Alta from the app and from Bluetooth settings on your phone. Then add it back as a new device.

None of these steps work and this is extremely frustrating. This is one of the features that made me buy this watch. Unacceptable

I have done everything that has been asked and I still do not get txt notifications since the IOS update. Any idea at what point this will be resolved or how we will be compensated for a watch that doesn’t work properly?

This “fix” fixes nothing. Was so excited to get the Ionic for xmas as an upgrade from my charge 2. Now I’m considering taking it back for a refund.

So I just assumed Fitbit decided to no longer update the blaze and just bought 2, top of the line ionic Fitbits.... about $500. Mine gets notifications but my bf does not. I have the iPhone XR, he’s got the iPhone 7. Been thru every step of this post and a bunch of other pages... seriously wtf is going on?! You’re forcing people to leave. Hire some smart people and figure it out already🤬

How or where is that accomplished. I’ve just upgraded to resolve this issue and am now unfamiliar with the ionic dashboard and functions...

My notifications do work (text and app), but they stop after a day or two unless I power cycle my phone. This has happened several times now, so I'm pretty confident that's the problem. When my phone gets powered back on, I get a bunch of backlogged notifications on my watch, and then new notifications work again (for a day or two). Hopefully that will help with the debugging effort.
I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone 8. I'm on iOS 13.3 and my Fitbit app version is 3.12.1 (915). My Versa 2 firmware version is 70.7.14.
Thanks for working on this.

I should have been clearer about being sure "that's the problem" -- I just meant for my particular case.

I have the iphone 7 also and after upgrade I dont get notifications. Ive barely had my versa for 2 weeks and loved the notifications. I do get notified of calls though.

Doesnt it erase everything though?

Power cycling your phone? No, that doesn't erase anything. To be sure I'm clear, I just mean turning it off and on again, not resetting it or anything.

Do u both have the same phone? I wonder if it depends on the iphone

Not sure who you mean by "u both", I thought it was just you and me replying to each other. I have an iPhone 8.

I have done all this on my iPhone 6 and I am still not getting notifications on my Alta HR. About to update to an iPhone 11 so will set Fitbit up again on that phone but if I still have issues, I'm going to dump the Fitbit. Just sending the same list of instructions out again and again when customers are having notification issues is not that supportive or helpful.
