Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

I dislike the new app because it no longer keeps a running log of my steps by day.  All those bar graphs are useless, as are the averages.  I want the actual numbers like I had before.  Counting steps is the original reason for Fitbit's existence, yet they've messed up that function terribly.

I now cant see my resting heart rate on the dashboard (my key stat), my steps keep showing incorrectly, I DONT CARE about the other settings hence I didnt' have them switched on before! PLEASE give users the option to revert back to the previous update or risk losing a LOT of customers

My screen does not look like your screen.  It shows the calories consumed and under it the word "Today."  No info on remaining calories.

Hi All and first time posters, With so much dissatisfaction expressed in such a short time Fitbit must surely be aware of the problem, and it's even been escalated, however there is no response as to what can be done, partially due to the weekend perhaps.

The main online Fitbit help has also been modified to work inline with the new phone Fitbit app version 4 screen navigation and operation, however many of the preexisting help posts in the forums now no longer apply, as they were posted for the previous Fitbit App version 3 operations.

This means because of the change in screen operation [with the new app] there will be a 2 tier system where some instructions apply to version 3 and others to version 4. This is going to lead to unnecessary confusion and many of the existing posted helps becoming less useful.

It is more than unfortunate they released a new app which wasn't needed and didn't even introduce dark theme, instead of enhancing the existing one and keeping good continuity and compatibility without losing any of the existing features. Let's hope all your comments posted leads to a reversal but chances are slim because it's a scenario that probably was never envisaged.

The new interface is horrible.  I like to see my cumulative steps, calories etc.  for the week compared to previous weeks and now there's no way to do that.

I agree!  Would like that feature back!!

I Hope you take notice of all the people saying they can’t stand the new changes! I won’t be having another Fitbit!

It's user error.  I just upgraded mine and could find mine easily.  You have to scroll to find them.

I can only agree with everything that you have said.

I think FitBit / Google have completely lost their mind over this matter.

They definitely need to bring back the old App.

The new Fitbit app sucks to no end.  The dashboard is completely different from previous which I have been using since 2018 and there was nothing wrong with it. I can no longer see the battery life of my Fitbit on my iPad nor my phone, I cannot move anything around on the dashboard so they are in the order I want them to be for my convenience of using the app.  I recently purchased the charge 5 and when it dies, I will NOT be replacing it with a Fitbit product. I and all my friends are extremely disappointed with the new app.

That screen was the old screen showing the stat that they used to provide and don’t anymore. Wish they would bring it back.

I really am unimpressed with the latest update/redesign. I preferred getting my motivational streak notification with the previous version. I was at 187 days on a step streak but have no idea now. Very disappointed that was removed. Also the battery charge level can only be accessed on the device it no longer shows on your app. I hate wasting steps that aren’t counted because my device is charging. It takes forever to get to the last 1%. It stays at 99% for a very long time. I also do not like that I can’t remove the calories from displaying. Personally I don’t care about them. I care more about the steps, distance and zone minutes.

I am really unhappy that you have made it more difficult to look at daily historical data.  In the past, you just clicked on the data you were interested in and just scrolled down the screen.  Now this feature is clumsy, and you can see it only one week at a time.  Going back in history takes a really long time.

Please restore it to the way it used to be.

Is there any way it can be reverted back to what it was that you know of?  I hate this new puke coloured presentation. Really really annoying me & whats more I had no choice.

They’re doing it so you feel exactly as you do but with the hopes u buy a pixel. Google has not added anything since it bought Fitbit in fact it’s systematically taken things away.

Reversion to previous app is the least bad choice.  No one else I have seen has pointed to removal of VO2 Max calculation as an issue.

Fitbit is now a worse fitness tracker than Applewatch.

A SUPER annoying blunder by Google.

The more I look, the more I find things I don't like. No battery level? Why oh why do you have the steps animate every time you refresh the screen or switch to a different day? It's a useless feature which is quite dizzying. I'm more interested in the totals for the day or week, not the average. And the average is going to be way off if you are checking first thing in the morning or early in the week. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD INTERFACE!

Cannot stand the new version of the app. It's cumbersome and difficult  to navigate or see your history. I had zero complaints with the old one, and did not ask for this update. After 15 years with Fitbit, I am looking at other fitness tracking options, as I know there are many out there now. What a shame.

Why can’t they leave things alone. I no longer get battery percentage shown when I sync my inspire hr. I totally rely on this to know when to charge my Fitbit
