Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

I don't remember opting for the new app - or being prompted/asked to do so so I am one of the UNLUCKY few who is stuck with the new app interface which is truly annoying. It is not the least bit user friendly. All the information that I wanted used to be easily available. Now I have to click any number of tabs, read unnecessary text and scroll before I can check my data. Terrible design guys. I intend to give up on Fitbit and switch to another tracking device

The new app is absolutely awful. You fixed what wasn’t broken and now it’s less functional, boring, hard on the eyes and basically unusable. It’s almost like you hired Elon Musk to change things up… PLEASE let people at least go back to the previous version.

Doesn’t Apple have a partnership with Google as well? If we switch to the Apple Watch isn’t Google still getting their hands on our data? Does anyone have a Garmin? Would it be a good switch from Google/fitbit? Or, does Google have its hands on Garmin as well?

Please tell me how to switch back to the old app design ! I hate the new layout, it’s awful !!! I can no longer see the battery life percentage and the numbers are too big.

The new app looks like it was designed by a 6th grader. Embarrassing. The new app is a mess. I  could not synch and it took me hours to fix it. I'm not sure it even works. My swim goals are the same as my walking goals which messes my stats up completely. Please I beg you let us go back to the old app.

The new app is awful. It looks awful. It's unpleasant to navigate. It's hard to find simple things, like, exactly how much the battery is at.

Put the old app back... or give us the option to swift back if we prefer it.

New app looks like a downgrade from the old app.

@Yyxtine2  so you keep saying. well Fitbit are still to blame for selling out to Google. they are making changes that no-one wants or likes and they will lose all their long term loyal customers

Sorry, but I intensely dislike the new layout.  So much so that I don't want to use the app.  Sure wish I could go back to the previous version - Please!

Really regretting that I've already bought my next fitbit watch.

Disappointed in Canada. ☹️😥

All of a sudden my dashboard changed. I hate the new one which is so much complicated and have so many things I don’t use. How can I get the old dashboard back.

The new UI is horrific. I’ve been a user for 9 years now of Fitbit and I hate what Google has done. The over minimalistic design and overuse of white space makes the app almost unusable. If it isn’t put back I’ll be moving on from Fitbit products to go to Garmin.

I’m an iPhone user who has refused to switch to Apple Watch for several reasons:

1: I don’t see great up close without reading glasses, and the Apple Watch is too hard to read.  My Fitbit charge 5 with the classic “target” face was perfect for me.

2: I have 6 years worth of Fitbit data as well as aria weight data on the Fitbit platform, and I really value the ability to see historical trends and data

3: I know my stats and I know what to expect in my numbers since I have used this product so long.  This means I also know when something is out of whack quickly just by looking at my numbers.

4: the iPhone app was incredibly intuitive.  It gave me just the right amount of data in a single glance.  The colors popped and stood out.  I knew I was looking at sleep because it was blue, the cards were really well organized and I was only shown what I needed.  I enjoyed it and it kept me coming back multiple times a day.

this new update has removed all of that.  To be clear, this isn’t the fault of the Product Manager who was tasked with this redesign, nor the engineers, nor the UX designer.  It wasn’t the scrum teams fault:; this goes higher.  This was put in front of and demos for the sr managers, principle, staff, directors, VPs, etc.  they are who to blame, not the first year PMs and devs

I thought I would be Fitbit for life, but once I find a way to export and then import my health data from Fitbit platform, I’ll likely be jumping to apple for the convenience of being an iPhone user.

Fitbit leadership team: you have a very small window of opportunity to pivot and save your customer base.  Do not underestimate the impact that this decision will have on the future of the company.  You know what to do.  Make this right.  Listen to the feedback, go back to the drawing board, do a ton of follow-me-homes with customers, and learn what we want.  Then implement the changes, and quickly.  The future is up to you.  Your move…

What happened to the battery icon on the app?  I need that!  I tried updating again and it says I have the most recent update.  I have an inspire and I use the app to track the battery usage. Please put it back on at least with the sync like it used to be

I am wearing my Apple Watch now. Found an app called StepsApp that is similar to the old Fitbit app that works with apple … AND you can sync Fitbit to it too if you connected with another sync app.    I am enjoying the watch and really just wanted an app like fitbits. Now I found one!

The new app is horrible.  A lot of wasted screen space, poor user interface, data poorly summarized and not easy to see current and historical data.  I used the old fit bit app a lot everyday, and this new app is a big step backward.  I called tech support and lodged a complaint on these issues and received call center boilerplate drivel.  No help whatsoever.  Next step, hit up fitbit, fitbit support, google and madebygoogle on Twitter/ x, no reply or response from google or fitbit.  Then responded to the placating email from fitbit support covering issues and lack of response.  Did I hear anything from them?  Listen, do you hear an eery quiet.  I am contacting my US Senators and US Representative and asking them to pursue a Google monopoly breakup.  So many of the large tech companies have acquired smaller tech companies and then totally ruined them.  I am sick of the tech monopolies and the American oligarchs.  Additionally, I will not be renewing my premium membership.  Let's all hit google where it hurts, in their revenue stream!  Let's see if the moderators actually approve this post.

Is there a way to see percentage charged on the new interface. I wish you hadn’t changed it. So frustrating  and not because it is change. Because the new interface is terrible.
