Alta HR display is blank

Hi,

 

This morning my screen has decided it doesn't want to display anything when I tap or swipe it. My battery is half charged and I have tried doing a reset of my tracker but to no avail.

I guess I complained too much, and they offered 25%:) However, they are having a sale right now, so the sale was better than the 25% off...

I am also having this problem.  The battery is full and the display comes on while plugged in.  Shorty after unplugging the display goes off.  I have properly restarted it.  Is there something else I could try?  Thanks

I have tried connecting my Alta HR to wall charger and pressing 3 times (Multiple tries at different speeds and duration) the screen is still blank however the green light on the bottom is flashing. If I hold the button it will vibrate. It is fully charged and updated.

I have been having issues as well in the last two weeks, the tracker goes completely dead.  I have plugged it into my laptop and followed the reset instructions, it brings my unit up and takes a charge, now today it did the same thing and I followed the instructions again bringing it back to life.  Then this afternoon, it went completely dead again, showing no device on my android phone.  It's plugged back into the laptop again showing life with an 80% battery.  This time when it synced it showed up on my phone.

 

What to do next please, I can't be resetting the device two to three times a day.

Ah well.....after repeated emails I finally accepted the 25%discount offered for  a new device. I agree.  Just end the aggravation.   I had mine for 3 years.  Maybe that's the life expectancy. SSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I am about to get a new one too...but it is too bad that they discontinued the ALTA HR. I hear the Inspire's battery is not as good. Yes, fitbit seem to only last a couple of years!

Identical to my Fitbit problems and had the Fitbit Alta 2 years - no one seems to have the answer, so saving for the new Apple watch! The software for the Fitbit doesn't sync all the time either and that is irritating! The back of the unit cause an irritating rash on my wrist in hot weather - so perhaps you may decide to try another type of fitness monitor? so many people here seems to be having the same problem and no real answers!

HI @FerdinandFitbit I have a real issue with my Alta HR, The display is very faint and very hard to see when in use? I thought it might be the same problem as others on the forum and performed the restart sequence as you have suggested but the display is still very hard to see. I can see it is working but just too hard to see. What do you suggest?

My Fitbit will not reset , after being dead for a week, it is now flashing between the clock face and heart rate and step counter continuously. What can I do to get it back on track please?

hi i tried to follow your advice on trying to restart it and i’ve pressed the button on the charger and everything but the logo won’t show up but it still vibrates?! the screen won’t work at all but everything else in the app does

Hi there, I am having an issue with the display not showing on my fitbit alta hr.. I have tried resetting mulitple times, reinstalling the app, force stops... nothing seems to help so far. Any help is appreciated.
