Let us know your findings with 3.7.
I'm also on a Samsung Galaxy S7 and want to see if you run into any issues or if this update will finally work like it's supposed to.

Hi @LostEchoes, @laserbeam1 and @SunsetRunner. I'm glad to see you here in the Community Forums.
Thanks to both of you for the heads up. The Fitbit app 3.7 version has started to roll out to all our users, this is why some of you will have it while others not. But be sure that this will be available for everyone and keep an eye on our Android board for more updates about this version.
Catch you later!

Hi all.
So far everything seems OK, regarding the basic and important things with my Inspire HR. It pairs and syncs properly.
Let me mention that I also did not have any functional issues with earlier versions of the app (3.5, 3.6, 3.6.1). Meaning that in my case I have not met with pairing and syncing issues so far. Though I have not tested yet if the Texting and WhatsApp notifications work properly, so I cannot comment on that. I might try it soon and report.UPDATE: I have now tested the above. Whatsapp, Viber, Google Calendar and Google Messages (SMS) notifications all work fine without issues at my Inspire HR . Samsung Galaxy S7 phone with Android v8.0.0 😊
However, the two issues I have mentioned a few days ago are still there:
1) When I try to add friends to Challenges, they still show up with a status of "No recent activity". All of them. Bug reported here.
2) Elevation Gain in activities is still reported and wrongly shows as zero (0). Bug reported here.
Regards

Hey again.
I have updated my posts with the tests I've done regarding notifications.
UPDATE: I have now tested the above. Whatsapp, Viber, Google Calendar and Google Messages (SMS) notifications all work fine without issues at my Inspire HR . Samsung Galaxy S7 phone with Android v8.0.0 😊
Please have a look at this post for the bugs that still haven't been fixed.

@SunsetRunner
Hi there.
As we have the same phone, how is 3.7 for you ?
Could you also confirm the bugs I reported that haven't been fixed ?
Thanks in advance.

I just updated to 3.7 last night and my notifications seem to be working as well so far. I had an issue with the update trying to pair my Versa after I installed the app but finally got it to work after restarting both my phone and Versa. I also didn't have an issue with notifications with 3.5 or 3.6. Mine was more syncing and not finding device. I would have to clear cache and force quit the app for it to work. I didn't update to 3.6.1 after reading all the issues with syncing and notifications users were having.
I can't answer to the Challenges issue since I don't use this feature.
The elevation issue is still there for me as well.

Samsung Galaxy 8, with Android 9 and App Version 3.7 - notifications working. Sort of startled me when my wrist got buzzed when text messages came in. I was already in some challenges and haven't started any new ones. It does seem as though glitches were fixed for me.

@Odyssey13 That's nice !
What about the two bugs I have mentioned ? Do you also have them ?
1) When I try to add friends to Challenges, they still show up with a status of "No recent activity". All of them. Bug reported here.
2) Elevation Gain in activities is still reported and wrongly shows as zero (0). Bug reported here.
Thanks

@LostEchoes I can add friends to challenges and most of them show their steps, but I do have some that have always shown as "no recent activity", so that hasn't changed since before the latest app update.
Alta HR doesn't recognize flights of stairs, so I can't say if it's changed.

@Odyssey13
1) So it seems that bug with friends' profiles (wrongly) showing as with "no recent activity" is still not fixed.
2) Inspire HR (the one I got) does not have an altimeter, too. The bug I'm describing with the "elevation gain = always 0" is not dependent on altimeter. It uses the GPS to measure and calculate the elevation. But as I can see Alta HR does not support connected GPS, either. Inspire HR supports connected GPS and I really hope they fix this bug, because for us that use the trackers for fitness activities, elevation gain is a nice and important info.
Thank you for the feedback.

I find I can now share my exercise route via the Map option. Not sure if it's something new in 3.7 or earlier. But it's awesome.

Hi guys. It's always great to see you participating in the Forums.
@LostEchoes, I appreciate your initiative in sharing your insights about this new update. Your post is very helpful!
Thanks to the rest of you that updated the Fitbit app. As you may have noticed, the Fitbit app version 3.7 fixed notification issues that some of our users reported. Although you mentioned to still have issues with the challenges and the elevation gain number in your activities, be sure that our team always takes your feedback to improve our services to make sure that we are delivering that our users want and need.
If you have any other question about this update, feel free to let me know.

A lot of people have reported inaccuracies regarding the connected GPS function and I have confirmed this with my own testing. So, I'm adding a 3rd issue that has been detected on 3.7 version of the Android app and we hope will be fixed on the next update(s) of the app.
1) When I try to add friends to Challenges, they still show up with a status of "No recent activity". All of them. Bug reported here.
2) Elevation Gain in activities is still reported and wrongly shows as zero (0). Bug reported here.
3) Connected GPS inaccuracies (distance, pace, etc). "The connected GPS starts playing up badly with incorrect distances measured". Bug reported here, here and elsewhere.

I have now downloaded Fitbit app version 3.8 for Android, on my Samsung Galaxy S7.
Bugs reported below:
1) When I try to add friends to Challenges, they show up with a status of "No recent activity". All of them. Bug reported here. (Bug still not fixed on 3.8 - tested it myself)
2) Elevation Gain in activities is reported and wrongly shows as zero (0). Bug reported here and here. (Just tested it on a new Walk activity. The bug is still unresolved)
3) Connected GPS inaccuracies (distance, pace, etc). "The connected GPS starts playing up badly with incorrect distances measured". Bug reported here, here and here ("must read" report). (Issue seemingly not fixed on 3.8 - latest report here).
4) Fitbit App - "View All Posts" link does not display ALL posts by a user, but ONLY the last 5 of them. Bug reported here and confirmed by me here. (Version 2.90 of the app also tested and it does not have this issue !)
So all in all, version 3.8 of the Android Fitbit app has not fixed any of these bugs.

I have tried all suggestions from different posters to solve my text notification problem. Still unable to receive text notifications. Hey Fitbit, how about rolling back the upgrade to what used to work for everyone so we can use that until you fix everything properly?
