Fitbit Update 11/21/2016: Some Android users who have opted-in to the new Android Dashboard redesign experience have reported that their Dashboard is not updating their steps and other stats after a successful sync.
Our Android team is aware of this issue with the preview and is currently investigating the root cause. In the meantime, I recommend logging into the Fitbit.com online Dashboard, completing a sync, and confirming that your step activity is updating in the activity log tab.

Hello,
I use the Fitbit app for my Android and just completed the latest update. In this update, it gave me the option to preview the new dashboard. As a side note, I hate the new dashboard. As for my issue and concern, when I sync, the sync time adjusts and shows that I just synced (indicates just synced a moment ago) but my steps don't always change to show the new number of steps with the sync. For instance, if the last time I synced I was at 1033 steps, an hour later when I try to sync, it registers the time I synced, but even if I've walked another 2000 steps, it will finish syncing and still say I've only walked 1033. I tried switching back to the old dashboard, and the steps showed updated to the correct amount. When I switched back to the preview, it still shows the old number. This has happened several times since I updated the app and I'm very frustrated. I've tried rebooting my phone and the tracker. Still no luck. Any help on how to correct this would be appreciated. Please, help!

I kinda like the look of the new dashboard but I have the same issue with syncing. What good it is if it doesn't show the correct number of steps?
I also like to use it as a step counter while walking so I'll open the app, sync it and just hold it and let it remain connected as I walk to show a continuous update while I walk - that it out of the question with the new version. They've got some work to do on it.

I'm also having the same issue and it's very frustrating. And on top of that, I can't figure out to go back to the old dashboard, which I would do until the new one is working correctly.

You can go back, it just takes 3 or 4 steps. from the dashboard, select Account, then scroll to the bottom and select Advanced Settings just above the big Log Out button. In there, Switch Back to old Dashboard is the first item. Click it and it will reset.

Same issue here. The widget and the old dashboard sync without issue, however the new dashboard seems to sync when you initially open it but not after that.

New dashboard is not great.

As an update, since I've been seeing several people responding with a similar issue, I went ahead and contacted customer support. I wish I could say I received an answer, but the representative I spoke to advised they would pass the issue along to the engineering team. I'm hoping, however, that maybe we'll still get an answer here to let us know more. But at least they should be aware of the issue now.

I have been experiencing a somewhat similar result with the new dashboard, but it corrects itself after a short time. When I sync the tracker, it will show that is synced a moment ago, but the steps are still showing what it showed before I synced it. But, if I leave the Dashboard active, the step count will update to the correct number.

Hello guys @Melissa_GRZ, @Geoffreys, @LL_W, @heatherautumn, @jv18, @N8teGee, @notoyaarthur & @Malibu1966! It's great seeing new faces around.
Have you guys tried what @USAF-Larry suggested? If not, then I encourage you to do so. Also, I would like to add that logging out, force quitting the app and then logging back in might do the trick.
It's very important that you guys check that your Fitbit app has been updated to its latest version which in this case is version 2.38 and was released on November 14, 2016. To see what version of the Fitbit app is installed on your device:

Hello. For the record, I have tried everything I can think of as far as troubleshooting. And yes, occasionally if I let it sit long enough, the steps will update, but on the old dashboard, the steps updated automatically after the sync without a lengthy wait. It's horribly inconvenient if waiting several minutes has to become the new norm for seeing my updated steps. Especially when, if I switch back to the old dashboard after syncing, the steps are accurate. They ONLY don't show right away on the new dashboard, if they update at all. As for troubleshooting, I've verified the app is up to date. I've force-closed the app and re-started. I've shut down my phone and restarted. And I've also reset my Fitbit. None of these have worked. I also have two co-workers who are experiencing the same issue with lagging step updates or no step update on the new dashboard. With how many people are having this issue, I suspect it might be some kind of bug with the most recent update and I'm hoping it is able to be corrected soon. (And I apologize if I sound like I'm being rude. It's not my intent. I appreciate your attempt at providing a solution. Sadly, this doesn't appear to be as easy to correct as simply updating, closing, or resetting.) Thank you, though! 🙂
