Fitbit Update: 6/13/2018

New version 2.73 has been fully released to all our Android users and you should be able to update your Fitbit app. We have released a fix for Message+ and Signal App notifications.

Hi, everyone!

I noticed many of you reporting that you no longer receive your Message+ notifications to your Versa/Ionic after the Fitbit OS 2.1 update.

We've escalated this issue to our team for investigation. For the meantime, I recommend using the default texting app on your Android device or any other messaging apps.

When I have more information, I'll provide that here. Thank you!

What Fitbit version update do you have? I have Oreo on my phone so that isn’t the issue.

@TomDuke  Thanks for the suggestion! Does that app work if you keep your phone in silent mode?  I'm reading some reviews that it doesn't but maybe the users just didn't turn the "Always Vibrate" toggle on in their Fitbit app?  If not, I will just wait for the fix to come out for Message+ on Android v7.  Thanks!

I just want to know how we get the .20 version. Why do only some of us have it?

My Android says Oreo update is not out yet...

during the first minutes of the new release they've decided to change the release number.

so the ones who got the update within one or two hours got the .20.

Then they've changed the number / release notes and are pushing .15 onto the devices since.

I know that first-hand as i've had .20 - was irritated by the seemingly broken notifications and reset my ionic, then i've got the .15.

Hi @Sadie3

Which version of android is on your phone? you say oreo isn't out, but nougat should be good too; marshmellow and earlier are problematic for quick replies.

Very frustrating.  I tried a new messaging app, Mood.  I get notifications but cannot reply.  I wish Pebble never joined with FitBit.  They don't have it together yet.

I exchanged my watch but it's still not receiving notifications. They need to release another update to fix the notification problem

Same issue. Fitbit needs to release another update, their firmware has flaws.
