Fitbit Update 06/15/18: This issue has been resolved with the release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.73. If you're still experiencing issues receiving notifications from the Message+ app, I recommend confirming that you're updated to the latest app release and following our notifications troubleshooting tips provided in this help article.
I am closing this thread as the issue has been resolved. If you begin to experience this issue again at a later time, please create another post in the Android Community Forum and reference this thread. Thank you for your continued patience as we worked to get this resolved.
Fitbit Update: 6/13/2018
New version 2.73 has been fully released to all our Android users and you should be able to update your Fitbit app. We have released a fix for Message+ and Signal App notifications.

Hi, everyone!
I noticed many of you reporting that you no longer receive your Message+ notifications to your Versa/Ionic after the Fitbit OS 2.1 update.
We've escalated this issue to our team for investigation. For the meantime, I recommend using the default texting app on your Android device or any other messaging apps.

Hi. I have a new Versa. I only got it yesterday and already today the notification for messages and calls are not working! Is there anymore information on how to fix the problem or why it is not working?

I was also using Message+ without issue until a couple weeks ago. All other notifications worked but not text messages. Following the recommendations of using another message app I am now using the Samsung Message on my Edge 7. I now get all my text messages on my Ionic. Hopefully the issue with Message+ will get resolved soon! Thanks for the help!

I do often receive messages on message + and I definitely receive phone calls. Have. Note 8 with Oreo 8.0. Night t sure how but mine mostly works. I have the .15 update on my versa.

What I understand is Oreo 8 does work with .15. I still have V7. No upgrade available yet from Android. So I feel quite stuck. I wish Fitbit would give us a timeline.

Spent 3 hours on the phone with Fitbit and did everything to get text nofitications. It will work with everything but Message+. They told me to go talk to my phone provider and tell them to turn this on. Verizon laughed at me and told me to go back to Fitbit and tell them to upgrade their apps and stop selling things that do not work. I'm so frustrated. I love my Fitbit and wanted the latest but am finding I paid alot of money for nothing.
