Fitbit Update: 6/13/2018
New version 2.73 has been fully released to all our Android users and you should be able to update your Fitbit app. We have released a fix for Message+ and Signal App notifications.

Hi, everyone!
I noticed many of you reporting that you no longer receive your Message+ notifications to your Versa/Ionic after the Fitbit OS 2.1 update.
We've escalated this issue to our team for investigation. For the meantime, I recommend using the default texting app on your Android device or any other messaging apps.
When I have more information, I'll provide that here. Thank you!

Not sure if you have found a solution to receive text notifications. I had used the Verizon message plus app and found that I had to:
sign out of the verizon message plus app on ALL DEVICES (my laptop, tablet and cell).
and then switch to the stock Samsung messages app in order to receive text notifications on my versa. I really don't understand as Fitbit acquired pebble and my Pebble Smartwatch had no problem handling the Verizon message plus app even being signed in on multiple devices. Hope this helps you. I I much prefer the Verizon Plus app as well, but until Fitbit fixes this issue (hopefully incorporating software from Pebble) this is all we've got! Good luck!

Hi there everyone and welcome to those new faces in the Fitbit Community. I'm sorry for all the troubles regarding the issue with Message+.
I understand, that all of you are eager to see a prompt solution and I'm aware this has been said before. However, rest assured this issue still is under investigation to release a fix as soon as possible for the convenience of all affected users; but at the moment, there is not an estimated timeframe to share of when we are going to release this fix.
I or any of my fellow moderators, will be visiting this thread as soon we have new information.

Same issue of the missing text notifications on the Signal Private Messenger APP.
Previously described workaround still in use, so a fix is highly anticipated.

1: Open the phones default text app, and send a text to yourself. Leave it it as unread at all times. You won't get a notification, until:
2: A new text, from a different contact is received, then you have 2 text notifications.
As Long as you keep the text from yourself as unread, text notfications works fine.

Check the notification settings on your watch: it might not have the right settings. Then scroll up on this page: I've written the workaround I figured out.

By typing your own phone nr. as the recipient of your text message

I am having the same problem. After the update I no longer receive Message+ notifications. I receive call and calendar notifications. Using S7 Edge running 7.0. Tried everything in the forums with no luck.

I still do not have the ability to see the text message on my versa or respond. I am only able to see the notification. Has this problem been fixed? I was told that the female tracker would come and it would be fixes, however O have the female tracker update but messaging still does not work.
