Hey, everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience. We really appreciate your cooperation while we released the Fitbit for Android app version 2.77. It has been fully released to everyone, so please go to the Google Play Store and download it as soon as you can!

Many of you that already updated have confirmed you see your real-time heart rate back in the Fitbit app and that your steps/calories are updating. I will leave this thread open in case anyone has any issues, but I hope you are all set after updating. Thanks for all your help!

Fitbit Update 8/16/18:

Hi everyone - The fix for this issue will be out in our next app release which you can expect within the next 2 weeks.

We will provide an update in this thread once it has been released. Thanks again for all your patience and cooperation.

Fitbit Update 8/9/18: Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to report this issue here on the Android forum. I've passed your reports along to our engineering team so they can begin investigating. From what I've gathered, this issue is app specific and not affecting the Fitbit web dashboard (which is correctly showing all activity data as expected). To keep thing organized, I've merged several threads to this one.

I appreciate your patience and am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. In the meantime, I welcome you to continue sharing your experiences here. In the meantime, you can view your current stats on the Fitbit web dashboard by logging into your account at fitbit.com

When I hear something new, I'll be sure to update the thread with the latest info. Robot Happy

My Ionic suddenly started showing zero steps etc today but buzzed for 1000 steps so is recording (& Android app shows actual steps). Is this the same issue or slightly different?

@DTFC1907 That happened to me when there was an update available for my clock face. You should check in the app on your phone. Just tap on the Ionic in the upper right corner and tap on the Clock Faces square. You should see a prompt if there's an update available.

This is extremely poor customer service.  The whole point to having a FitBit is to have this information available to us, conveniently on our mobile phones.  We've paid a lot of money to have these expensive pieces of tech, but it's pretty useless without a convenient way to extract the information.  All of us here could have purchased cheaper, knock off smart watches or trackers, but we valued having quality smart watches and trackers.  Waiting 2 weeks for a fix to a know critical issue is completely unacceptable!

Buggy? Perhaps. But it was good enough for me to be happy using it daily without complaint two months ago, so why not now? In any case, the current version is so **ahem**ed buggy it doesn't work at all! So yes, that's precisely what I'm proposing 🙂

I am aware Fitbit said they are working on correcting the Versa not syncing with the android phones; however, your fix saying I can click on the tile and my stats will be displayed is also not correct nor is any of my data being stored for my Fitbit. Not only that, I can't use my computer to sync my stats because the Versa does not have that capability. I have paid way too much money to your company for this kind of continued difficulty. I have owned the original Fitbit when it first came out, 2 Charge 2's and now the Versa and all have failed on some level.

No, the steps, sleep, and heart rate do not show up when the tile is tapped. Mine don't, anyway.

Sorry to hear so many affected by the BROKEN devices, applications, promises of good service.

This wont make you feel better but you are not one of few but of MANY!

Many of us trusted FitBit ... but evidently the Corporation that stands behind this fine community; let you and I and 1000's perhaps millions customers down. Did you know if you called the Corporate they ask you to leave a message ... however their voice mail box is full!

This will be the last time I buy from a company who invests more time and efforts in advertising their (now ours) worthless devices... They spent far to much money in advertising hypes and far too little on

R&D (research and development).

Perhaps it taught us all an expensive lesson ... when we look for new electronics and gadgets we should look to the major manufacturing company’s we have depended on for years. Companies like

Garmin produces for many years GPS devices and has a fine selection of fitness watches as well while some are very high ticket item they have many under $200.

I wonder what the history is behind FitBit Co.

I am truly sorry you, I and millions others have been taken in ... we all make mistakes and many of us learned some valuable knowledge!

May God Bless Us All

Hal

Yes, I had the issue with Fitbit Charge 2 and rolled it back as described above. I am pleased with the device. We have 4 in our family that we encourage each other to get our exercise in. If there are folks who need to "jump ship" obviously you are free to do so. At this point, we've been served well in the past with the fitbit. I do trust they have got the issue fixed with the new release. I've had glitches with just about every piece of software I have used and that includes Microsoft and IOs.

The issue appears to only affect the tile on the main dashboard in the app. If I click on the steps tile to show my daily totals.
