My fitbit app wouldn't work with my new Samsung Galaxy S7 (Marshmellow) due to syncing issues. I just reset my fitbit (plug it into laptop/wall charger and hold button on left side for approx 10seconds until fitbit symbol appears, then unplug it). App worked instantly! 🙂

Transparency would have been a great idea for fit bit. I overpaid for a blaze when the simple and much less expensive fit bit was all this does. They can be assured, I will not recommend this product

Turns out, according to the list of compatible devices, the Charge 2 is NOT compatible with the Samsung Galxy S7 (or S7 Edge, for that matter). Nor is it compatible with the Motorola Droid Maxx 2. So unless it's dongled to a computer (and it may or may not be---I don't carry my laptop in my pocket), using it is pretty much a waste of time at this point, and purchasing it certainly was money ill spent. When, if at all, will the aforementioned devices be compatible?

Considering how long the GS7 and 7Edge have been out, it's taking a long time. Back to the ChargeHR (or Polar for that matter) and over to eBay to unload the Charge 2. And I had high hopes for this unit.

Folks, don't even try. Fitbit is not keeping up with latest tech. this is the response they gave me when my Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge is not connecting to receive texts and emails.
"Upon further investigating your case, allow us to tell to you that the Samsung S7 cellphone as of the moment is not compatible yet with the Fitbit App and Fitbit trackers, this is the reason why you have issues with the notifications."
I am so disapointed. I should have bought another product.
J.

I Agree @Krhamilton, it took me only a few minutes to hook my Charge 2 to my neighbors s7 phone and have everything confirmed working, gps, notifacations, etc.
They both have S7's and have no problems with the Blaze, neither needed any help from me to set up.

@danryan128 seeing that your using the term "you" and addressing someone who posted an answer 6 months ago, you might want to properly get their attrntion, that way they will know that they are being asked question.

@Mikael91 I can't say,, this would be a question for the developers, not the Fitbit users.
I can say that many find the S7 and S7 edge working out of the box. Many people who have taken the time to troubleshoot are now up.
While it seems Fitbit has not thoroughly finished testing the phone yet, following the threads on the board it looks as if the ratio of problems is the same as with supported phones.
I will be happy to help with troubleshooting, and there is some tips above. In anycase 4 of my age S7's with no Fitbit issues.

Turning the bluetooth off/on.
Restarting the Charge HR three times.
Try setting the Charge HR as a replacement device.
Try using cell network only, some say they had a setting up through WiFi on Android phones.
Actually I'm not sure if the tracker is even set up to your account, who I go of easily be done through a pc or friends phone.

My expensive Blaze will be going in the sock drawer. What a waste of money. October and you still can't sync with Galaxy S7. I will make sure everyone in my social network knows how much Fitbit blows!

@whynosync My neighbor both him and her have S7's, they opened the app, logged into their Fitbit acvount.. Now the pressed the plus sign to add a devoce.. Followed directions and where setup. Then went to the device settings and setup notifications. They both did it without my help, I didn't even know they both bought the Blaze.
My feeling is not to treat it as an unsupported phone problem but as a problem getting it to setup or sync problem, I'm not sure what the problem is that your experiancing.
Going by your name in assuming that the Blaze is now attached to your account, what device did you use when setting it up?
