Hi @Samwon, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. At the moment the Galaxy S8 plus is not compatible with the Fitbit app. Despite it might sync and it will work other features we cannot guarantee all features will behave as is expected with compatible mobile phones.

To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices. If your device isn't listed, you can check the link at a later date to see if device support has been added.

It won't hurt to give it a try to the following troubleshooting steps: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app)

We appreciate your understanding while we work to improve the Fitbit experience.

Funny that it lists a Note 8, when there is not such a phone. I thought there was a mistake when I originally looked before buying my Blaze. I too have a 8+. 😞

Good to know it's working for you! Quick question (maybe stupid, I know). Do I need to add my phone (Samsung s8+) to the fitbit app or should this be automatic? I just bought my Blaze tonight and am not getting notifications.

Thank you!!

Yes...you just have to make sure you indicate that you wantt text  messages and Whatever other Notifucatiins you want to be alerted of sent through to your Blaze.
You cam do this the notifications link in the Fit Bit App.
Hope this helped.

Did you figure out anything that helped? I have had my blaze for a few months but just upgraded my phone to the s8+ and I have spent the last couple hours trying to get my notifications to work and still nothing! I have no troubles syncing. I have all of my settings set up correctly and message+ choose in notifications. I finally got my bluetooth to bring up blaze classic and still nothing. I have restarted everything several times and tried every tip other than uninstalling and reinstalling fitbit or deleting my blaze and re adding it. Nothing works. I even went through my text message settings.

Hello @ddahlinghaus and @Samwon, good to see you again. Welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community @HippyOne.

@ddahlinghaus I'm wondering if you were able to received call notifications. Is like @Samwon said before, you need to indicate in the Fitbit app from which app you want to received the notifications. I'm not sure if you went through the steps of the tips and requirements I shared before? For more details review these steps: Tips and  Requirements

As an additional review to the steps to set up call/text notifications, take a look at this post: Text and Call Notifications.

Also is important to consider the Galaxy 8+ still is under testing and we cannot guarantee it will work as it should despite it may work in other scenarios. This is one of the reason our teams need to test thoroughly each device to make sure they are going to be compatible with all the features.

See you until the next one. Cheers!

I have everything set up correctly. I went through it all. I know its right
and correct because I have had just a couple actually come through on my
blaze then it goes right back to not working again. I have given up and
have been giving it time since the phone is new. It's rather annoying
though.

I'm sorry to hear the notification are not going through correctly @ddahlinghaus. However as I mentioned in my last post, the phone model you are using still is under testing to see if all the features will be supported.

If your device isn't listed, you can check the list of Compatible device at a later date to see if device support has been added. We are constantly working to provide our users with the best experience possible by improving our products and expanding the selection of compatible mobile devices.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi there @tina5marie, let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. I'm happy to post that the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ has just been added to our official supported devices list.

There are still a few things being worked out to make sure of its full compatibility, so some users might still have issues with the pairing process or with notifications.

If you are having issues with notifications, please give our troubleshooting tips a try if that is the case.

Hope this helps, see you until the next one!

I've been dealing with the same thing.  In the beginning,  I was getting messages & calls & then stopped.  I have gone through all trouble shooting & tips with no luck.  I'm also getting an error when I try to connect to my phone to track a run.  It tells me to check fit bit app.  That also just started.

Hello @Runnergirl43, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. I'm sorry for giving you a response until now. How it goes so far, is the issue still persisting?

I understand your frustration about call / text notification, rest assure we are doing the best to make sure the Galaxy S8 / S8+ works perfect with the Fitbit app. You can try to re-enable the notifications from scratch again, I know you have tried the troubleshooting steps but this might help to give it another shot to these steps:

  1. Unpair your tracker from your mobile device. You can unpair your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. If you are unsure how to verify or change settings for your mobile device, refer to instructions provided by your device manufacturer. For most Android mobile devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth, find your tracker in the list of paired devices, and then tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.
  3. In the Fitbit app, tap Allow notifications access and allow access to the Fitbit Notification Service, and then turn on call, text, or calendar notifications.

Regarding the other issue, are you using any special feature? Like MobileRun or Connected GPS. It should not give you these error, but the steps from this post might give you some extra help. (The scenario is different but the recommendation can be apply to your case).

See you until the next time.

It was so spotty with my Blaze and S8+ and a major pain in the **ahem**. I eventually gave up and got a different smart watch and use my fitbit for exercise only.
