Blaze WhatsApp Notifications

What bothers me the moste about the Fitbit Blaze are the missing Notifications for WhatsApp, it is the most common used messenger App available and its messages are not shown on the Blaze.
That makes me truly reconsider this purchase.
Is there any sign of adding such a fuction to the Blaze in near future?

I use whatsapp and have its notifications come up on my Blaze no problem.

In the notifications bit where it says text notifications, when you click that you get a list of different messenger apps to choose from. (at least this is how it is on android, not sure about iOS)

Ypu can connect through Bitticker.
The problem night be on What's App end, ate you sure it registers as a text messenger.

Do you know any chance when would it be available for IOS?

Best Answer
Fitbit haven't said they will ever support third party messenger apps on iOS so it's best to assume that will be the case going forward in order to avoid disappointment. Who knows, they may surprise us later but it's always best to base any tech decisions on the available functionality at the time.

Must admit, bit ticker is great. Get whatsapp notifications from my S7 with no problems.

I thought the latest update had broken that as a byproduct of one of the fixes that went in.

@MikeF it works fine with the Blaze. From their website:

Which Fitbit models does bitTicker work with?

The app only works with the Surge, Blaze, and Alta models, as these models support text notifications.

Our app has not changed, and when using text notifications (Blaze, Surge, Alta models), or Fitbit app 2.19, it is identical to before.

With Fitbit app 2.20 the Charge models no longer have a third party call notification feature. These models will no longer receive notifications if you use Fitbit app 2.20+. To be 100% clear, we did not remove this feature, Fitbit did. The change has nothing to do with our code.

Hi,

I have a iphone SE (iOS 10.3.1) and fitbit blaze (version 17.8.401.3) and I cannot get whatsapp notifications to work. All other notiifcations work fine. Helpdesk has said that this functionality does not exist yet for iOS and could not help me so I would be very interested to know how you got it to work on your iphone/blaze. Were there any settings you needed to change or did whatsapp just appear on the App notifications list?

Thanks a lot, any advice would be much appreciated!

You can change the notifications on a iPhone to open the FitBit app, click on account, then click on your device, followed by notifications and app notifications.
