Any idea if the Blaze will have better battery life than the Charge HR?  I'm on my 2nd one of those in less than a month and the battery life is pretty horrific.

@striknbarb Hey there!

Your fully charged Blaze should last up to 5 days with continuous heart rate monitoring and activity tracking before needing a recharge. You can always learn more basics about the device here.

Hope this helps!

"Should" and "will" are very different things. I have my 3rd Charge HR in less than a month on its way to me and they are all listed as having batteries that last up to 5 days. I haven't gotten one to go past 3 yet.

Any idea the battery life if I was to always have the display on? For my job I need to always have the time on me and I just want to wear the Blaze instead of wearing a watch and my Charge like I am doing now. I am going to always keep the display on.

Best Answer
How do you plan on doing that? I don't think it works any differently than the Charge in that respect (Quick view etc).

@MikeF is right here, @matt9013. Blaze will work in the same way as our other devices in that the display will come on when you're interacting with the device (pressing buttons, Quick View, touch screen, etc.).

That sucks. I thought with the way the Blaze looks/was designed as a fitness watch we could have an option to leave the display on. Kinda useless when you gotta toggle to get the time. Never liked quick view.

May just keep wearing my watch than and the Blaze.

The LCD screen is great for checking on; the Quick View is super responsive. For me, it works quicker than my pulling my phone out Robot Happy Just throwing that out there, though I know it won't fully replace a traditional clock watch.

I move my arms a lot throughtout the day and quick view kept getting activiated so I just shut if off. Not a big deal on the Charge as I still wear my watch but was just hoping with the Blaze I could replace my watch unless I am in the water.

So far since I got the Blaze on Friday night (2/26), I've had to charge it every single day. The first two days, I woke up to a dead Blaze.  I fully charged it this morning at work and by the end of the work day (3pm), I'm at a half battery charge.  I haven't even hit the trail yet for my exercise.  I'm really disappointed in the battery life thus far.  Beginning to think at this point, I could have gotten an Apple watch if the Blaze battery was going to be this sucky!

I think there is something wrong with your blaze @Bionicears. I've had mine on without charging for the past 2 days and it's not even half dead.

I use mine all day at work. I am a PE teacher and use the timer and countdown for every single class. With that said, I have come home with it at over half a charge the past two work days. I believe you can easily get three days out of it if you are not using its features all day long and are just going to the gym here and there. I haven't tried pushing it past that, but it's only advertised as 5 days while doing the bare minimum: wearing it for the heart rate sensor and checking the time.

I am on 3rd day of use, and still have 1/2 the battery.  I have been taking minimum of 3 walks per day, listened to music, used the timers several times, and get messages through out the day.  Oh - and have it set to sync all day as well.  The only thing I have turned off is "Quick View" as it was coming on too frequently for me.

Thanks everyone! Here's some general information on maximization of battery life that may be useful.

If the battery is depleting really quickly over the course of a few days, and you feel that your usage is within reason, I'd recommend reaching out to our Support Team for a second opinion.

That's what I'm wondering. I've barely used it today - I turned off the notifications, don't have the all day sync on, and I didn't go into the trail this afternoon. I took the charger to work with me today and forgot it there. Right now I'm looking at it, and it's in the red. I really am wondering if I got one with a bad battery. 😞
Best Answer

That has to be a bad battery... There is no way it should be close to the red if you woke up this morning with a full charge! I seriously used mine consistently from 8-2 today and made it home with at least half a battery left.

Mine is lasting barely two days.  It's pretty bad.

Best Answer

It is.  I am happy to report that after calling Fitbit customer support, they are sending me a new Blaze!  Mailing off the defective one today.  I'm very happy with the service!

I'm on my 3rd day. 1/2 battery still. Quick view on, notifications on, and 20 minute run with connected gps every day.

I got my Blaze on Friday, charged it over night and have used it continuously since Saturday. Today, day 5, it's showing a low battery but still tracking and working. If I didn't use the quick view so much, I think mine would last a little longer.
