My Fitbit Blaze will not show notifications for text or calls. It's brand news. What am I doing wrong?

A warm welcome to the Community @Blaze2 and @knutkj it's great to see you here.

If your trackers are not receiving notifications, I recommend following the instructions provided in the My Tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android App) post. If you haven't setup this feature, take a look at the How do I setup the calls/texts notifications? (Android app) post and follow the steps there.

Let me know how it goes. Woman Wink

Probably you just have a Samsung phone?! 🙂

I have tried all these suggestions many times, I even then removed the blaze and added it back, paired it again with my phone and still notifications do not work. I know it is not a Bluetooth issue with my phone because I previously had a fitbit surge and that received notifications just fine. Frustrated and tired of fitbit's products. I knew I should have just went with a new company instead of updating my surge to the Blaze after the band again came unattached from the face.

Yes, my device is listed as compatible. My surge syncd fine and was able to receive notifications on this device, I am having issues with my new blaze.

This is a known issue that Fitbit isn't handling very well.... Considering these issues are months old and the continue list devices (ie: S8 and S8+) as FULLY compatible...

I am really tired of the BS posts by FitBit mods when you established that you've already followed all the diagnostic steps...

Thanks for the information @Heatmich and @JhawkBeerMaker thanks for stopping by.

As you know Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ were added to our list of compatible mobile devices recently and there are some issues with the connection of these devices, our team is hard working in finding a solution for it. Your patience while they fix this would be much appreciated.

I'm having the same issue with my iphone after the ios 11 update. I posted this here and I think fitbit deleted my post. It's now only on the ios page....was trying to post for Blaze users since not sure if issue was isolated to the Blaze after the update....here was the post

I updated to IOS 11 yesterday and now I am no longer getting text/imessage alerts on my Blaze. I still get notifications of calls. I have notifications turned on and Fitbit app set to show on lock screen. Could it just be Fitbit needs to do an update as well? I noticed on other boards people having the same issue with IOS 11 beta. I would have thought they would have resolved it before it was sent out to the masses. Smiley Sad

Note: I have already done the following none of which worked:

Checked settings

Restart the Blaze

Restart the Phone

Disconnect/reconnect bluetooth then restart the Blaze and restart the Phone

Remove/Reinstall the Blaze, checked settings,  then restart the Blaze and restart the Phone

Remove/Reinstall the Fitbit App, checked settings, then restart the Blaze and restart the Phone

This is 100% due to the update to ios11. Everything worked perfectly until it installed and this is a known issue as confirmed by Fitbit. Hoping for the fix ASAP. They have known about this for months thanks to the beta testers and still we’re dealing with this months later 😩

Yes @AlejandraFitbit as I have stated in my posts (here and others) they confined this has been a known issue for months apparently and the “engineers are working on a solution”. It appears to me by other threads that posted about it in beta that thev have been “working on it” since as early as July?!? Just very disappointed my phone updated overnight and now I’m stuck without my notifications.  I’ve tried every “fix” 3 times. Nothing has worked. I really hope Fitbit updates their end soon. I know I’m just being melodramatic because I’m spoiled and used to getting notifications on my wrist.  But let me tell you it’s been quite the adjustment to actually turn vibrate and/or sound back on my phone and actually have to check it. It’s been quite convenient to be able to take a quick glance while you’re at work and or working out and see whether or not you need to address something.  Just hoping this is resolved very soon it’s been a week now and it feels like an eternity 😒

It's a little sad. I still have never heard from anyone from Fitbit. I had to uninstall and reinstall the App and Blaze 5 times before it started working again. No clue why it worked the 5th time 11 days after the issue started when I updated to ios 11.
