How do I cancel Fitbit premium subscription?

Hi, I would like to cancel my Fitbit premium subscription before the free trial ends. When I googled it, it said to go to acc and settings and There should be a cancel/manage subscriptions tab but there’s not.

I would like to clarify that if you cancel your Premium subscription before the trial ends, you'll still have the Premium view on your app until the trial ends. Keep in mind that when you'll need to cancel your subscription from the store settings that you bought it initially, check this article for more instructions.

Hi everyone, I have an answer for you!

 

Background is I got a Charge 3 and an Aria Air in two separate purchases back in February. I guess I somehow opted into Premium with no free trial via the Google Play Store, then deliberately opted into the 3-month free trial with the Aria purchase.

 

Well, I got an email saying my free trial was expiring and realized I had been charged the previous 3 months. I reached out to Fitbit Support and explained that I somehow had two Premium accounts active under the same email address, to please refund what I was charged during the "free trial," and to help me cancel the duplicate account.

 

Support got back and basically told me "tough sh*t." When I repeated my second question about cancelling the second Premium account directly through Fitbit, they gave me two sets of instructions to track down "Manage Subscriptions" options that didn't exist either in the Fitbit app or on the Fitbit website. When I was looking around for an answer I stumbled upon Fitbit Coach, which showed I had two subscriptions for Premium Coach and Premium Yoga that were ending later this month, with no information on where I made the subscription, and no payment info.

 

Well...you can imagine what a great experience this was as a new Fitbit customer. I dug through old emails and found an obscure email from orders@subscription.fitbit.com with an invitation to create an account on Fitbit's billingportal.com page. I created an account and lo and behold, the option to cancel my subscription.

 

I have zero idea why Fitbit support gave me the run-around with useless instructions when they could have just mentioned the billingportal.com link in their first reply. The sleep and heartrate data through Premium are valuable to me, but I'm getting the feeling that I'm not particularly valuable to Fitbit. Anybody else feeling sold short? Fall in love with any of Fitbit's competitors that actually make an effort to be helpful? I'm all ears.

I am still trying to cancel my subscription and am not able to do so.  Why is this so hard?  I'm not able to cancel in iTunes or the fitbit app.

You need to go into the Google play store and go to your subscriptions and click on the app and then click to cancel

For either fitbit, fitbit coach, you have to go to the Google play store and go to your subscription and then on the one you want to cancel

This isn't working for me. In the box I see neither payment details nor a logo to click on to go to the subscription area for that account.

Yeah they made this way too confusing.

 

After looking on my phone and then fitbit.com and coach.fitibit.com on the web with no luck, I ended up searching my email for "fit bit premium" to find the confirmation email (which was from Google Play but I didn't remember that from 2.5 months ago). The email included a link to manage the subscription there.

The article only asks how we purchased premium and I only accepted the offer free after the quarantine.  I can't remember for how long, but I said to cancel when no longer free mostly because I don't have the needed fitbit.

This isn't working for me. When i click on subscriptions there is nothing there. Yet I definitely have premium.

I selected to try out the 90 day free trial through my app. The  link you have given does not work. I have spent an hour trying to cancel this thing which is infuristing.

I'd like you to confirm you did the following to cancel your subscription, keep in mind that this has to be done from the Fitbit app: 

 

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab 
     

     > your profile picture.

  2. Scroll down and tap Account Settings.
  3. Then tap Manage Subscriptions. Your active subscriptions open in your phone’s app store.
  4. Tap your Fitbit Premium subscription > Cancel Subscription. Note that you won't see this option if you already canceled your subscription.

I have this issue to, fitbit were not very helpful, everything I've done and nothing works to cancel it. Frustrated

I did not purchase premium from any store, but accepted the free offer as the quarantine started.  I think I cancelled it for when it is supposed to end .. I think sometime in July!
