Custom stats not saving

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After the new OS update, I am unable to save my custom stats. I like to view particular things when I run, bike, etc. I work out 2-4 times a day, and it is frustrating to have to reset these before every single exercise. Anyone know what is going on with it?

@shielalee

After updating to 2.1.1 and performing a restart all my exercise custom stats are sticking including walking. Only thing not sticking for me still is the lap length or exercise cues (defaults to .5 miles).

Just updated a couple of days ago and walk won't stick. I reset my Ionic
street the update and restarted my phone....
What else can I do?
It would be nice if Fitbit would chime in, too!

Yes I know that trick, and it worked for a while but it doesn't work anymore since they updated their server a couple days ago.

Not tried changing since, so not going to risk it as I am happy with my settings at the moment.

Hello everyone! Thanks for your participation on the thread regarding the custom stats not saving on Ionic.

Our team has received the feedback from everyone in this thread and is working to investigate these reports further. I will share updates from the team when I hear them. Thanks to everyone for your reports and understanding. In the meantime, if you haven't done so already, I recommend trying a restart on your watch after updating to the latest firmware version if this is still happening to you.

Also, if you have noticed that this is only happening with some specific exercises or some specific stats; please reply with the information about which of them are still not saving, and also which if them do save.

On the other hand, I'm glad for the users that had this resolved already.

Again, thanks for your patience and understanding. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Having this issue with the run tracker. Change the stats and as soon as I sync, they revert back. I've done a restart on my Ionic as well as delete and re-add back to my phone.

I confirm that the issue is not fixed..

Well, it looks like I spoke too soon. This issue is NOT fixed...even with the latest update. Here are the scenarios using Weights as the example.

1. Go into Exercise > Weights config > Customize stats > middle stat. Untick a few things I don't want to show. Go back to weights screen > start workout. Keeps settings during workout. Finish workout and go about my business. The settings will reset at some point.

2. Go into Exercise > Weights config > Customize stats > middle stat. Untick a few things I don't want to show. Exit the exercise screen without doing a workout and go right back to weights screen > start workout. Keeps settings during workout. Finish workout and go about my business. The settings will reset at some point.

3. Go into Exercise > Weights config > Customize stats > middle stat. Untick a few things I don't want to show. Exit the exercise screen without doing a workout and go right back to weights config > Customize stats > middle stat and the settings are kept. Exit the exercise screen and go about my business. The settings will reset at some point.

4. Go into Exercise > Weights config > Customize stats > middle stat. Untick a few things I don't want to show. Exit the exercise screen and go about my business. The settings will reset at some point.

Unfortunately I have gotten into the habit of redoing the config every time I do an exercise. I would really like this to be resolved.

@tanakn8 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for your question. I've seen some users on this thread reporting this is now working for them, at least for some exercises and some stats. Feel free to read the entire thread.

@NikW31 @Duke552 I hope you're doing well! Thanks for trying those steps. Your reports have been sent to the team.

Also, if you have noticed that this is only happening with some specific exercises or some specific stats; please reply with the information about which of them are still not saving, and also which if them do save.

Walk not saving. Never has for me. Starting to believe it never will.

For me, workout now saves, but Swim, Walk and Bike don't.

I factory-reset the watch before and after installing the new firmware.

FWIW, I have only those four activities configured to display, and only the first one retains its settings. Could it be that only the first-displayed activity retains?

Workout, weights, run and treadmill custom states are not saving me. All ready done factory reset and and forced restart to me effect.

No. Walk is my first activity and it doesn't...and has never saved.

Hey @Naccarek@Gondwana@Duke552@shielalee@trekkerdean! Thank you so much for keep sharing the details about the workouts not saving.

Just as mentioned before in this thread, I would recommend to restart your Ionic and then perform the procedure to save custom stats again. If you keep having issues, don't hesitate to share any information that can help the team to resolve this.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted!
