Hello Ionic family!
We’re excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 4.1.2.
We started releasing this new update to customers. This is a progressive rollout which means everyone will receive it at different stages until it has been completely released to all users. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
*Firmware releases aren’t distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside.

This update killed my Ionic. Seems to be working, but there is a black screen. I don't consider, for the price, this to be a disposable watch after 15 months.... really 25% discount on another watch? No. Should be replaced.
The fact that I have always had connectivity issues with my Ionic and wife's Versa is troublesome. The process to get it to connect eventually is asinine. Turn this on, turn that off, force stop this, remove all other devices, reinstall app, etc. Makes no sense. I suggest fixing this before an update so you stop killing peoples' devices.
I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried a hard reset multiple times and changed clocks to see if that would work. Just stopped working out of nowhere last night. It will still buzz. Black screen but the edges light up blue so I know it's working. The sensors also stopped flashing. It's been charged completely. I removed it and tried adding it again but I can't add it because I can't see the numbers on the Fitbit screen to sync it with my phone.
Just updated and all went well, no issues. I do agree though with the earlier comment about providing a change log rather than the current non-informative blanket statement.
Exactly what was updated on the Ionic? All it say is, " This release includes bug fixes and improvements". After reading the problems people are having why would I do the update, especially without knowing what it is supposed to do.
This is the second time an update has turned my screen black. My ionic is new and this is getting ridiculous. I've done the three button and two button holds, but nothing happens. The watch continues to buzz and the green lights are working, but the screen remains black. This is the worst fitbit I have ever had.
I have suffered iOnic's touched screen issue for over 2 weeks.
Before this update, the touch screen function is on and off.
I can live with that until I received the update last night.
Now, the touch screen function is completely gone.
How come every update will cause some issues?
Received and applied this morning - was painless.
I see no mention other than 'bug fixes' hopefully this includes the GPS dropout/connection issue being experience by allot of people since the last update
My Ionic had the update yesterday and now will not sync properly, because it won't sync the app keeps trying to update it whenever I put it on,the update message will not go away, it has lost the correct time which I can't adjust, my Ionic was fine before the update but now it's pretty useless but can't afford to buy another one just because Fitbit killed it off, there should be a way of reversing the update, I have tried all the so called fixes but nothing is working.
