For all my Chats, Challenges & Laughs peeps! Since we can't get on the threads I thought I would start a discussion area for us. We may not be able to keep track of points standings easily but we can still talk.
I miss you!

We are still playing the waiting game re my Mum's biopsy results. She is seeing her specialist on the 21st so I don't think we will know anything until then. It was my parents 56th wedding anniversary on Saturday and Mum's 76th birthday on Sunday, so we tried to make it extra special.
Today is the Labour Day public holiday. I got up late and took Daisie for a walk with my Mum but didn't feel like doing a workout. We walk for about 40 minutes so I can take that as exercise.

We had a great, but short, visit with my cousin and her family. My mom, siblings and spouses, and my cousin's family had a 3-hour visit over lunch on Saturday. Then they went to visit friends they have in the area and didn't make it back to my house until about midnight. Hubby and I had to leave for church at 7:15 Sunday morning and got back just in time to say our goodbyes.
I have meals planned for the week and partially prepped. I got up this morning and did a few things, then crashed, so I went back to bed for about an hour. I did take my exercise clothes that were laid out and put them in a bag to go to the gym after work. When I got up for good, I ate my healthy breakfast as planned instead of grabbing junk.
Great job on the weight losses everyone. Margaret, I hope you can pace yourself through the workload instead of being overwhelmed.
Jan, I think waiting for results is harder than anything else and I hope your mum gets a clean bill of health. Congratulations on their marriage milestone. Hubby and I celebrate 40 years on April 1. I've been married longer than I've been alive!
I'm cheering on everyone to have a great week.

Had a really lazy/tired weekend (time change didn't help). Slept in late both days, didn't eat on plan at all. Very little water. Very little movement. Took some naps. Got some things done around the house. Hubby was feeling pretty good all weekend so we were able to go out to Toys R Us (rumored to be closing but of course our store knows nothing about it) and got to Home Depot to buy a new lawn mower. We also spent some time playing a card game with my son and daughter which we haven't done in quite a while.

I don't think I'm going to be staying on the slide with you CJ and Celeste I have a feeling I'll be heading over to the see saw when I get on the WW scale today.
Sounds like you're getting back on track Elaine - good for you! Sorry to hear that your visit with your extended family wasn't longer.

Life is a see saw, Margaret. I'm finally accepting that and not freaking out when I fly off the seat; just remember to hang on!
Hope your energy is picking up again, Celeste.
Happy to hear you had a good visit, Elaine; and your house is spiffed up to boot.
Love see all the 4's and 5's, KD, Rezy, Sherry O. and all others!!! Great inspiration.

I have to say that I always have enjoyed playing on a see-saw 😄
@CJ_Here - the energy isn't really picking up yet and we have some sort of plague running through the office (fevers and very rough coughs that don't go away). Four of our outside salesmen (the ones who go out to other companies and are not in the office often) and one office worker were all down with it this weekend. Another co-worker was fighting it off and today another person is out. I'm hoping that my lack of energy is not related. (I don't think it is.) I think it's a combination of depression, stress, cabin fever and age, like I've used up my allotment of get-up-and-go. I'm exploring a couple different options for combating it, starting with just carrying on.
The usual 2 points for Monday.
Have a very glorious day everyone!

Celeste, I think you're where I was a few weeks ago. Just put one foot in front of the other and know that healthy choices, although they may not be the easiest or the ones you crave, will make you feel better in the long run. And family time is precious, so it's not considered lazy.
While I was on the treadmill yesterday listening to 70s music, I wondered if there could be some sort of atmospheric shift that would combine the exercise and music so that I'd have my high school body back. I would NEVER want to go back to high school, but my 17-year old body would be really great to have back now.
Quote on my calendar today: "Until you heal the wounds of your past, you are going to bleed. You can bandage the bleeding with food, with alcohol, with drugs, with work, with cigarettes, with sex; but eventually, it will all ooze through and stain your life. You must find the strength to open the wounds . . . " Iyanla Vanzant

Great calendar quote ... and I wouldn't know what to do with a 17 year body again ... (OK, yes, I would! I just can't allow myself to dream that big - it makes me giddy lol
