For all my Chats, Challenges & Laughs peeps! Since we can't get on the threads I thought I would start a discussion area for us. We may not be able to keep track of points standings easily but we can still talk.
I miss you!

So glad to hear from everyone again - I was getting lonely lol
Steve - I'm sorry to hear you weren't feeling well, but glad you found a pain reliever that is helping.
CJ - Glad you had a good time on your trip. Sounds like you've got his WW thing figured out. It's all about balance. The fact that you're not letting one treat derail you is huge!
Elaine - Sorry to hear about your sinus headaches, but glad you have a potential remedy / preventive measure. Yes, making more trips carrying smaller loads might not have been as taxing, but the extra trips / steps might have made you just as tired at the end of the day.
I forgot to post my weigh in results yesterday:
Starting weight - 214 (June 2015)
2019 SW - 199
Lowest weight 180.1 (7/13/18)
LW 194.4 (7/6/19)
CW 192.0 (7/13/19)
I'm certainly happy with the 2.4 pound loss. I think realizing that one year ago I was at my lowest weight of this journey AND that in the 6 months since joning WW again, I have only managed to take 6 pounds off has given me the kick in the pants I need to step it up.I'm 23 pounds away from no longer being obese. Given my past performance, it's certainly a stretch goal for me but I'm going for it. By 2020, I will "only" be overweight!

I ended my exercise streak at 18 as I didn't work out Sunday. I played golf first thing this morning, then helped with a kid's sewing camp. We are leaving shortly for St. Louis to watch a Cardinal game, but it is raining there. I'm leaving the decision of whether or not to go with my daughter as she is the one who planned the trip.
I really need to plan meals tomorrow for the rest of the week because playing it by ear certainly isn't working.

Great to read the posts. You are so supportive. I'm so grateful to have found this group. It's been over four years now and the scale hasn't moved much (and I'm not down to my lowest fitbit weight), but I have learned so much and can say in all honesty that I don't feel ashamed of myself. I feel good in my own skin. That is a miracle and something I feel very grateful for. I am very happy today 🙂
Our company left at 8am. It turned out to be a pleasant event - some annoyances, but all in all, great 🙂 The four year old boy was a joy to have around. He's a hugger (gorilla hugs lol) and smiled 98% of the time. It was easy to cook meals as I kept it simple (Hubby made spaghetti & meatballs that lasted two meals and I made pork steak). We had salad, corn, watermelon with our meals and I did eat free foods the rest of the day that I had the carmel roll. At WW this morning, I weighed in 2.6 lbs lighter, too - so, yes, I guess I do have the hang of this!!!
Sat & Sun - 2 pts each; Monday - 3 pts.

Since I neglected to post yesterday, I'm going to post my points now and (hopefully remember to) post more this evening when I get home from work.
Sunday = 5
Monday = 0 (day off from work). Got lots of little things done around the house, but went to bed later on Sunday night than I had planned, ended up sleeping later than I wanted to Monday morning which threw off my plan so never went for my walk. Back on track today - already have a 15 minute eliptical workout and 30 minute yoga class under my belt.

Great getting your exercise in, Margaret. I've been staying indoors to hopefully get my lungs completely cleared out and get rid of the cough. Hot and humid out these days.

CJ - I really like being able to workout in the air conditioned gym - it sure beats being out in the heat and humidity. Has there been any improvement with your cough?
My youngest left yesterday morning for her Girl Scout road trip to South Dakota. I hope the rest of the trip goes better than yesterday. They apparently encountered some major traffic issues. They were supposed to be at their hotel in Indiana by 5:30 pm. When I heard from them at 9:30, they were at dinner and still had another hour to go to get to the hotel. They were behind schedule from the get go though as they ended up leaving 45 minutes later than scheduled in the morning.

I've really been off track this week and the scale showed it with a 3 pound gain. I did go to St. Louis to the baseball game Monday night and had a great time. It rained lightly on us until about the third inning but it wasn't uncomfortable. I ate nachos and then mini donuts late in the game, which resulted in stomach pain when I got home just after midnight. As a result, I slept in until just time to go to the sewing camp, then took a nap most of the afternoon.
This morning I didn't get up to exercise either. After sewing camp (now concluded!), I met an out-of-town friend for lunch, and now I'm watching baseball.
CJ, it's great to hear you coming from a good place! It sounds like you are at peace with things even though you still have speed bumps.
Margaret, I agree about exercising indoors in air conditioning as our outside temp is 92 with scorching sunshine. It seems like last week I was eagerly awaiting warmer weather!

Hi Everyone,
It's a lot harder for me to post on this forum - it's harder to get to and harder to read and catch up. Things in my life are going well but this fitbit thing is just a little more trouble than it used to be. Plus the lack of syncing with my other apps - it feels like forever now - is really getting me down.
Despite that, I am actually slowly losing some weight and earlier this week posted my lowest weight in over a year.
Margaret, I'm so glad your speech went well!
I think I get a 5 for today but I'm not really tracking it religiously like I used to due to nothing syncing with anything. It's hard to work out these days due to the intense heat but I am getting it done usually first thing in the morning - my version of eating the frog early in my day guess . . .

Wednesday = 4 (posting, exercise, tracking, steps)
I didn't go to tabata this morning as my shoulder / arm are still not feeling 100%. Yesterday was pretty bad. I managed to get through yoga which helped some but by the time I got home, the pain was back. I ended up laying on the floor and put a tennis ball on the spot where the pain seemed to be radiating from. I rolled around on that for a little bit - probably less than a minute. While it hurt like crazy while I was doing it, I felt a lot better afterwards. Even if I'm not in as much pain tonight when I get home from work, I'll do that again.

Golf Thursday morning and I plan to go to water aerobics in about an hour. Eating has been almost on track and I am regaining some energy. It's amazing how quickly bad habits can bring me down!
Margaret, take care of your back. It sounds like you're being cautious and the pain actually keeps us from doing too much damage.
I called Home Depot this morning for a tentative time of our refrigerator delivery. It has now been rescheduled to 7\24 because of a back order! I explained that it wasn't backordered when I bought it but there isn't one to be delivered until next Wednesday. I may start shopping Amazon for everything like my daughters do.

oops didn't post yesterday.
I think the only point I got on Thursday was the one for posting.
Friday = 2 points (water and exercise)
Given the excessive heat warning we're under, I decided to take my walk before my WW meeting this morning instead of after. With the high humidity, the air was really thick. Since the sun was just coming up, it wasn't too hot yet. After 4 miles I was still drenched.

Given the week I had, I'm pleasantly surprised by the loss.

Hey everybody I found you! For the longest time when I tried to get in it just said one not found. Now things look different. I’ll have to read through and catch up on past posts. I found you guys again because I got an email notice saying someone had posted. Can’t wait to read up on all you have been doing.
I have been getting more serious about my weight the past month. I started tracking calories again and am slowly seeing the scale go down. I had gotten to my heaviest a month ago, and I’m almost 10 pounds down since then. I haven’t been working out due to a torn meniscus and foot issues, but I saw some videos on you tube by Jessica Smith for knee injuries as well as seated workouts I’m planning to try next week.

Have been using my WW app and not really turning on my computer with company, etc. going on so just checking in since Tuesday. Eating more this weekend. Ice cream with toppings twice now this week. Only 1/2 cup servings and 2 T toppings but with everything else not sure I'll lose anything at Monday's WW. Have to keep telling myself - keeping logging; don't give up and say, 'oh, well; today's shot anyway'. It's 6:30pm - I just need to get through a couple more hours - drink more water; go to bed early. You can do this. Repeat.
PS - cough was bad last night. Buggers. A bit cooler so maybe tomorrow I'll try and bike ride in the am.

Hello Everyone, sorry I haven't been part of the group over the last few weeks. I haven't been too good of late. I had a very bad cold - I would have said I had the 'flu but I have had the 'flu injection. Then when I started to feel better my brother & I moved some furniture (to stop Mum & Dad from trying to move it). This resulted in me pulling muscles in my chest, back and stuffing up my left shoulder. Apart from the physical problems I have been battling anxiety bordering on depression. I am starting to feel better but it is a daily fight.
I haven't been doing much in regards to exercise due to just not being up to it both physically and mentally. I hope to start doing some in the next few days. I no longer have a fitbit, and I am keeping to my resolve not to get one unless the old community forums are reinstated, so by the looks of things I won't be getting another one.
My Dad's breathing problems got a bit worse and he now has oxygen, he doesn't use it all the time just when he exerts himself or starts coughing. Mum recovered well from her fall and went for her quarterly maintenance programme (due to being on chemo last year), everything is going well. My brother Roy still hasn't heard about the outstanding money his former employer owes him so he has zero money coming in at the moment. I have been helping him with writing resumes, letters and applying for jobs online, so far nothing. I think this is what is fueling my anxiety. It is bad enough when I am doing things for myself but when I am doing things for others I start to think am I doing the right thing, is it good enough. I haven't applied for a job (apart from promotions) since 1990, so I am really out of the loop. The anxiety was causing me to second guess myself but I think I am starting to get over this especially as Roy is going to government job service (even though he isn't on the dole) and they will look over his resume and look into courses or even help him in looking for work, so I feel some pressure is taken from me. My brother is a typical "tradie" (tradesman) he could do his job well, but due to technology his job is now virtually non existent. Writing resumes etc is not what he is good at.
Even our dog Daisie has been under the weather and has had to go to the vets a couple of times in the last two weeks - she had an ear infection and a patch of broken skin on her elbow. I have to give her ear drops in each ear once a day and put cream on her elbow twice a day. As soon as she sees me put the glove on she goes running.
I will try to keep in touch more often. I have been reading your posts and next time I will respond to them, I just don't like this layout and find it hard to find things.

So, so good to hear from you Jan. You and your family have really been hit with a lot of things of once. I can't imagine the amount of stress this is putting on all of you. I'm glad you're continuing with the posting without the fitbit. We are here to support you any way we can!!!
Sun - since I have 32 oz left of water to drink. I can't imagine I hit my water mark today so it's 2 pts.

Sorry I've been gone so long. I get notified by email when someone posts, so I'm keeping up reading, but not posting. I have spent almost every minute sewing the past few days. I have the baby quilt pieced and ready to machine quilt and finish tomorrow. Then I can spend Wednesday finalizing the silent auction that I'm in charge of at the quilt show.
At least I don't snack while I'm sewing but I also haven't been cooking healthy meals.
Jan, I'm glad you posted. I know it's not the format you prefer, but you certainly don't need to own a Fitbit to remain part of this group that I hope has become a source of support for not only exercise and food, but also for every part of your life. I don't know if you're a Christian, but I've been praying for your family since you shared the latest troubles.I
Hello to everyone else.

Hi Everyone,
Quick post to say hello. I flew early this morning from DC to Columbus OH where it is significantly cooler. We had heat indexes in the 105 range for the past few days and it was just miserable. Now that I'm here, it's 67 and rainy - a welcome relief!
Due to the lack of accountability of our regular group, I've allowed myself to get really sloppy. I'm usually pretty good about drinking the water but not always with posting it. I've also gotten sloppy with tracking food since nothing is syncing with anything else anymore so I feel like it's less informative. Due to the heat, I'm moving less but I seem to be balancing that with eating less since I just feel hot and lazy all the time. And I haven't hit my step goal more often than I do hit it. Despite that, I'm slowly losing a smidge. A 3 month survey shows about 1/2 pound a week. This is, of course, well below what I'd like it to be but at the same time, it's added up to about 12 pounds over 4 months which is a definite trend.
I've been up since before 5am and didn't sleep well because me and my guy were having a very weird kind of argumentative discussion. I'm still not clear exactly whether he was upset because he thought I was cheating or because he thought I was too invested in the relationship because it seemed like some of both. But, he's moving again and coming up on exams again and has a lot of stressful things going on so I think it's our semester end freak out. I woke up afraid we'd broken up but not really understanding how or why but somehow, we worked it out and I think we are okay now. So with that, I'm signing off for the night! Happy Monday evening everyone!

I did have a WW weigh-in Monday and went down another 1.8 lbs so now it's 15 lbs down since I joined WW May 20th. I will post this and then go find a weight post of mine and update it since I don't remember what I started at.

Well, can't find any history that helps me with specifics - like what I weighed when I started fitbit in 2015. What I weighed in Jan 2018; Jan 2019, etc. So, I'll go with the following info so I've at least started posting my weight again for my accountability.
HW (highest weight w/ light clothing) - 280
Lowest weight since 2015 fitbit start was in April 2016 - 246
Weight beginning of May 2019 - 273
LW - 257 (7/15/19)
CW - 255.2 (7/22/19)
