Highest weight: 179
Start (12/1): 173.4 lbs
Last Week: 169 lbs
This Week: 169.2 lbs
Change: +0.2
Total Loss: - 9.8 lbs
Goal : 130
I would be upset about the gain, but I am actually not. Since I'm just starting out with my new way of eating, I had read so much about incorporating cheat days. So I decided to try a cheat day on Saturday, which actually worked because I dropped down to 168.6 the next day, but then I found out cheating started me down a horrible cravings path for the next few days and I got up to 171.8 by Tuesday. I was able to get back below 170 by today, and I was actually back at 168.6 yesterday but we had a large Christmas party at an Argentinian steakhouse yesterday where I actually didn't overeat but did have mostly meat that has yet to eliminate. It always takes me a day or two to eliminate meat-heavy meals, which is why I don't eat them often. So maybe once that's gone, I will be back on a downward spiral.
Lesson learned: I am definitely not ready for cheat days, and I'm finding that there is really no need for them since I am able to easily fit in at least one daily treat in my caloric limits that leaves me satisfied. I know they're supposed to help with weight loss in the long run, so maybe I will try again in the very distant future.

I usually only weigh every other week but with the holiday I wanted to keep a closer eye on where I'm at.
Starting weight: 224.5 pounds (07/06/16)
Previous weight: 182.0 (12/02/16)
Previous weight: 177.5 (12/16/16)
Current weight: 177.0 (12/23/16)

My goal for this next week is to maintain and not lose my motivation to exercise.
Happy Holidays to all!

Okay, so the calorie counting started again today. Partly because I'm committed to a weekly lunch with my mother (even though I estimate what I've taken in) and partly because it was food and chocolate overload the last week. Although oddly enough I had way too much chocolate on Thurs/Fri and my weight came down. For me this is sometimes and indicator that I hadn't been taking in enough calories. It's almost like my body relaxes from a freaked out position and says 'okay we can let go of some of that weight now'.

I don't know if I've ever joined the weekly weigh-in but I'll do so now.

GW whatever under 200lb would be fantastic.
My method... Move my butt. Eat healthy. Make sure I don't eat too little. Make sure I don't hurt myself doing exercise. Attempt new things, enjoy the simple things. Look at the world like I did when I was a kid. Celebrate (not with food) when I achieve a new goal or do something I didn't think I could. I'm enjoying the process and life.

I'm not sure if I'm adding a post to a topic, or replying to someone else post, but it's all good. Thanks to everyone who extended a welcome to me on this forum. I'm still getting my bearings on how to navigate the site, but I'm sure I'll master it in no time.
Yesterday was a good day to be with family, but I did over indulge with the food. I'll be back to counting calories this week and beyond, so I can get back to my goal weight. Why is It so much easier to put the weight on, than to keep it off? I know, it's a rhetorical question.

Sometimes I get so concerned about not gaining that I end up losing. I ate a pretty lean and disciplined Christmas and it paid off. Five Christmas dinners in eight days and down a pound! Lots of Turkey,a bit of dressing each time because that's my favorite, little to no potato, lots of vegetables and staying away from sweets and desserts. I had a few, just controlled portions. I never felt gross, digestion is on track and no shame or regrets. Feeling good.

First weigh-in after Christmas parties.
Start: 253 lbs
Last Week: 180.2 lbs
This Week: 178.2 lbs
Change: - 2 lbs
Total Loss: - 74.8 lbs
Goal : 125
I will admit that I was apprehensive weighing myself this morning. I ate and drank way over my calorie allotment during the Christmas parties. I didn't even bother logging food during Christmas day, since I promised myself that I will take it easy and enjoy the day. I also missed my step goal on two days, although I didn't miss any scheduled workouts.
Despite all of the above, I still showed a 2 lb loss today (my average). This just reinforces the fact that a few off-schedule days will not undo your hard work. I also credit my consistent strength training regimen with helping burn off the extra calories. I have been able to retain most of my lean body mass despite a rather aggressive weight loss plan.
I have New Year parties coming up during the weekend. I plan to eat pretty much the same way I did during Christmas. I am expecting very little loss (if any) next week mostly because of my typical monthly hormonal fluctuations and multiple parties catching up with me.
I am very happy that I was able to get into 170s this month. It was my mini-goal and it feels good to have achieved it!
Happy upcoming new year, all! I'll see you right back here next year

Hi everyone!
Well Christmas is over so here we go with my final weigh-in for 2016. Starting weight: 224.5 pounds (07/06/16)
Previous weight: 182.0 (12/02/16)
Previous weight: 177.5 (12/16/16)
Previous weight: 177.0 (12/23/16)
Current weight: 176.5 (12/30/16)
1 week loss: 0.5 pounds
Total loss to date: 48.0 pounds
Goal weight: 155
I'm very happy with the 48 pound loss since July. I feel much better and am able to fit into clothes that have been lurking around the back of my closet for years. Time to add a few more pieces to my wardrobe! My goal for 2017 is to stay focused, continue eating healthy and reach my UGW. Only 21.5 lbs to go!
Happy New Year!

I am not too disappointed considering that I didn't really stick to my calorie goal or IF window at all during the holidays. Even though there is no scale victory this week, I am happy that despite losing my grandfather on Christmas eve and lots of family drama, I did not resort to emotional eating. I feel much more in control of my hunger now, whereas if this happened even a few weeks ago, I would've been stuck in a binge cycle and would have easily put on 7-10 pounds instead of the 1.8. Baby steps, I guess.
I have switched over completely to low fat and low salt vegan eating this week. My grandfather died from his heart giving out, and I think I owe it to him to make sure I get in much better health and really take care of my heart. Not sure how much weight loss I can expect since I have definitely gained weight as a vegetarian and vegan before, but I was also eating a lot of junk food. I hope to just get back on track and lose the 2 pounds per week I had hoped for.

So, an odd start. My eating has basically on point all week but I didn't see much movement. I was doing some batch cooking the past few days so it is possible I didn't account for the picking that I did. I'm also a little concerned that I'm not eating enough. I'm consistently hitting over 4000 calories burned each day so if I don't see much movement I may raise them slightly. For those that don't know me, I do better on higher calories when trying to lose weight.

I have ended the year though 94 lbs lighter than I likely started it (my official start was Feb 2nd, 2016). I also managed to do 20,000 steps a day for all of December. A good year.

Happy New Year. Welcome 2017
I splashed out yesterday and bought a set of digital scales. I had been using my wii up to this point but it was a bit subjective as you could get on three times in a row and each weight was different.
I have gained a few kilos but I dont know if that is the holidays or the new scales. I am going to start afresh and not worry about it.

Well I have been off track for the last few weeks, but am determined to get back on track for this new year! MY goal is to meet my ultimate goal in this year. It would be awesome to meet it in the first half of the year, but I guess time will tell on that. If I can stay focused and strong, I can do it! I have to admit, the holiday's kicked my butt. I gained 4 pounds during the hioliday's, but I have regrouped and am already losing part of that..I am hoping by next week to be back to the before holiday weight....
Well my husband and I start the Daniel Fast yesterday. It's a 21 day spiritual fast of all natural foods, nothing processed, no meat, no bread, no dairy, no sugar, etc. So I am hoping to not only grow closer to the Lord, but lose some extra weight along the way!

I'm just coming off of five days off that we spent touring around visiting family and friends. Lots of eating out and not a lot of exercise so I worked to keep my portions small and avoid junk. I am very happy with the results, I'm up 1.2 lbs from last week but that weigh in was my lowest ever and out of my target range so I am completely satisfied with this week's numbers. Happy New Year everyone, let's keep on track!

I've gotten off track the past few months and I'm determined to get back on track and finally make it to goal. To that end, here I am for the extra accountability.
Wednesday seems as good a day as any to weigh in, in between Saturday's high and Friday's low:
Starting/Current Weight: 195.4 lbs
Mini-Goal: 180 lbs
Goal Weight: 150 - 160, depending on how I feel at 160.
