Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.
As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.
We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

I am really sorry you discontinued the One. I still have mine. I also got an Alta HR for the heart rate function...just started wearing it. But I actually prefer y one. It shows me more information. I have o plans to stop usi g it. Please reconsider.

So my boys gave me a Fitbit Versa for Mother's Day ... I was fine with my Charge2 (and of course still wearing my One on my torso all this time), but I guess now I CAN experiment with the Charge2. I mentioned the Garmin Vivofit 3rd party clip does fit the Charge2 pretty well (getting it in and out isn't the easiest thing it's true). I've found if you put the Charge2 in backwards and have the flashing sensors press against your skin (whether clipped inward at the waist, or on a bra) it IS still picking up a heart rate reading. I don't know how accurate it all is, I'll keep gathering data and comparing stats. Of course worn backwards, then the stat screen isn't visible (you'd have to take it out of the clip or check the app like you would with a Flex). If you've never had heart rate data, it is fun to have.
Some quick observations ... off the wrist, the Charge2 is now picking up MORE steps than the One during exercise (it was consistently lower when worn on the wrist). Floors were slightly inflated the first two days (they are more consistent today). Any barometric pressure changes or driving should affect all the devices the same regardless of where they are worn I would think ... but yesterday the "stairs" readings were One - 11, Versa - 15, Charge2 in Clip - 68. Sleep seemed to record pretty accurately, and if you were making a move from the One to the Charge (w/HR) the sleep data is more detailed (with REM, light, deep, awake... auto sleep tracking as well).
Total step/burn readings from yesterday across six devices after a busy day (hour elliptical, hour Zumba, four miles jog/walk + shopping, gardening and cleaning).
One ... 30398/3360. Charge2(clipped) ...31752/3301, Alta (clipped) ... 32726/3494, Versa (wrist) ... 30748/3828, Garmin Vivofit3 ... 27580/2466, MotivRing ... 26640/3136
Here's a link to a picture (sans Vivofit, Charge2 in wristband).

I'll continue my tracking 🙂

@ScrapjenB Thank you so much for that information! It confirms my fears concerning the vivofit3.

No fears for me with the Vivofit 3. Photo is after a 4.94 mile run/walk and a .38 mile cool down. 5.32 miles with a difference of 34 steps seems pretty much in step between the two.
You need to be certain that the stride lengths for both are set the same. When wearing all day I noticed some difference between the two sometime as much as 1,000 steps but never 3,000 steps. In some respects I believe that the Vivofit 3 is more accurate. It seems to measure only active steps. The One will measure steps when transferring it from the charger to the clip, stationary to pocket, standing and sitting etc., but the Vivofit 3 does not. The One is still my favorite but when it dies the Vivofit 3 will become my go to clip on tracker.
Unfortunately, it looks as if the Vivofit 3 is going by way of the One and appears to be discontinued. You can still purchase it online, at stores and on the Garmin website (have to enter in search). I will be purchasing another as a backup clip on. Since it has a replaceable battery, the are no battery degradation issues that you would have with purchasing a One with a rechargeable battery and storing for an extended period of time.
As always good luck to all of us that love our One.

Hi all, I am part of the large group of folks that is disappointed by the discontinuation of the Fitbit One. I work in a very professional environment and wearing a Fitbit is not appropriate. I have never in my life commented in a forum like this, but I felt compelled to comment in order to correct Kate the moderator’s statement about continuing to support/replace the One. My Fitbit One stopped functioning (it stopped holding a charge). When I contacted Fitbit support, I was told the company was “aware of the charging issue.” They offered nothing further—no actual customer support or replacement. I’ve been a loyal Fitbit customer for several years and have enjoyed many different trackers over the years. I’m disappointed to leave the community but see no other option as wearing a tracker on nights and weekends defeats the purpose. To the 7 people out there still using the Zip, enjoy it while it lasts!

Totally agree, but they are not reading these, or they would be doing something.

Does the Vivofit 3 count stairs or altitude?

You just lost a customer. I am on my third fitbit one. I love it as it is discrete and tracks sleep and stairs as well as steps. I will not wear a fitness tracker on my wrist. My beloved fitbit one just started having trouble holding a charge. I have worn it 24 x 7 for several years, so figured the battery might be dying and it was time to buy a new one only to find, when I came to this forum, that it has been discontinued! The zip doesn't track sleep, which is important to me, so it is basically useless. My iPhone sort of tracks steps and sleep (although no where nearly as accurately as my fitbit did...partly due to the fact that I don't always have my phone on me), so I guess I will have to make due with that until I can find a new fitness tracker that will clip into my pocket. Not happy!!!

My One's battery does not hold a charge for more than a week (or so). One day I too, will have to decide if I would go to ebay to see if there is another one out there, and pay dearly for it. Fitbit will have lost another customer, but they won't give it much attention.

My Fitbit One died (attached to bra and went through the washing machine) after wearing it night and day for 2 1/2 years. I was sad to learn the One is no longer available and I was surprised to see that there was not another option other than the Zip which wasn't impressive. I always put my One in a wristband at night and the Zip sounded like it would not work the same way. I was looking for another bra clip option. I can't wear one on my wrist because that would not work for my lifestyle. So, I ended up on Ebay and found a new One for $170. Hopefully by the time I need to replace my new One, Fitbit will realize they need a new generation of the One - perhaps a Two.

Have you gotten your eBay One yet? I'm considering doing the same before my One totally quits. Wondered if the battery stays charged. There's!

I got another week out of my One and again yesterday the screen died. I had it on the charger overnight thinking maybe it is just draining fast but no luck this morning. I will likely leave fitbit. I may, if I miss it too much, consider the flex 2 as it is waterproof. No stairs and no display but I don't check the display very often anyway when worn under my clothing. My garmin watch will track steps but it is too big and clunky and the step count from the wrist is rather inaccurate.
Please fitbit bring back the One or another alternative with the same features!!

Well, that is it for me. My Fitbit One is going to electronic heaven. The device will only hold a day ... and the day is about 12 hours. So ... so long and fair winds to everyone. I have another device that has a bite out of the logo. I would prefer the One, however.
Cheers everyone. It was a fun ride.
