Since this original post, FITBIT has done something to the ONE program that has disabled both of my ONE devices. They will not hold a charge or sync. If it wasn't for the fact that I get a free Fitbit from my employer, I would not be using a FITBIT. I was able to get the Versa2 so that is what I'm using. I hate have a wrist device. Love love love the ONE!

The only thing I found that would make the ability to sync stick was to add a "new" device. This was at the risk of losing my history, but at this point I didn't care. I did not remove the existing One device, I just "set up a new device." It worked right away, and it did not remove the "old" device. It's like it just copied over the "old" one. To be clear, this is the exact same One I've always had.
Anyway, so far so good. It syncs just fine now and I don't have to restart anything or mess with bluetooth, and all of my history appears to be intact.

You added a new 'one'? But the issue is that the one won't even turn on. did you first have the issue that this thread is pointing out where the upgrade of the software made the one kind of bricked?

I'm having the same problem. While the Fitbit is charging, the display shows fully charged and 6.64. However, as soon as I unplug it, the display no longer works.

@LittleJ78 unfortunately, this means your battery is dead. you need to replace the battery or purchase a new tracker. in the interim, you can use mobilesync with a phone. fitbit.com/devices
