Charge 2 LED Display Issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit recently is having display issues with lines of LEDs not lighting up (through the upper portion of the display face) In the image attached its through the time and more noticeably through the date. It was hard to capture in photo cause of the brightness of the LEDs. The missing LEDs occur through all the screens.

Anything I can do to fix this? I'm guessing this is a hardware issue rather than something I can fix through resetting the device. I had a similar issue with my old Charge (which this Charge 2 replaced) before the entire screen just died.

Well i had a similar problem with the charge 2, after a fall, the screen cracked, was initially fine but the LED slowly disappeared, it does still communicate with phone but is blank on watch. The watch is 8 months old, . fitbit says its not covered and can't be fixed so here is 25% off a new watch.  Great i thought until you can only redeem on their site and you can buy the same watch cheaper without their pointless/non existing offer on Amazon.  Me shopping for an ulternative that is up for the job when it comes to sport/exercise.  good luck to you all ... wish i had read all tgese before purchasing but hopefully may help others looking for a quality product

I went to the Samsung Gear. Far more reliable so far. A friend just got a
Garmin and is loving it as well. It's too bad that they aren't taking this
more seriously.

First of all i think this software related not hardware. Problems i got are so wide and changing in time (for short time it go back working corectly) that it must be software. Today I had a really funny situation with the firbit charge 2 display. I'm not talking about displaying everything from right to left or shifting the image a few pixels to the right or no display at all. Today I had a situation where the screen is always showing the same. Same time, same heart rate and steps. The funniest thing was that at 7:00 in the morning when I woke up I checked and it was 10:29. I thought I was late for work :). Nothing helps to improve the situation. Changing the display template or restarting the device did nothing. The funny thing is that the screen goes on and off as usual. It seems that the Fitbit Charge 2 screen is a separate device and may just freeze. I guess I will have nothing else to do than wait for Charge 2 to discharge. Interestingly, the first problems with the screen (no image) appeared just after it was fully discharged and put into the charger. When connected, the device vibrated but showed nothing. Of course, as others have written, all other functionality of the device is working.
