Welcome to the Fitbit Community @marionrodgers, hope you're doing great! Smiley Very Happy Keep in mind that syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement. Verify each requirement before moving on to the troubleshooting steps.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your iPhone or iPad.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it

Give this a shot and let me know how it goes!

I have tried everything on the list besides restart the my Fitbit because I’m at work now. I have restarted my phone multiple times, deleted and redone loaded the Fitbit app, and deleted the charge 2 from my account but my phone still won’t recognize my charge 2 (which needs an update) but it cant find it. I’m not sure what else to do. My iPhone or app won’t locate the charge 2 and nothing has changed with any of my devices.

My Fitbit stopped syncing a few days ago when I did the latest update.  iPhone has most current update.  Turned on and off iPhone, uninstalled and installed Fitbit app.  Bluetooth (turned on and off)  is looking for it and nothing.

Hello,

I've just switched from an Android phone to an Iphone just yesterday, and I cannot get the iphone to "find" my fitbit at all.  I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app multiple times, restarting the tracker while its plugged into the wall,  switching on and off the bluetooth on the iphone, as well as restarting the iphone.

Whenever I go through the fitbit app and try to set up my Charge 2, I just get a continuous "searching" status bar at the bottom of the screen in the app.

Is there anything else I can try, because I can't seem to get the iphone to "find" my charge 2.

Thanks, Eric.

I’ve tried all the fixes above and my iPhone’s Bluetooth still does not “see” my FitBit charge 2. iPhone’s system is latest update, as is firmware / software of Charge 2.

ummmm

I tried all of the steps suggested and nothing worked BUT....

then I tried to unconnected and reconnect the Bluetooth connection and that worked.
Disconnect:

1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth > find your Fitbit on the list of devices > i / info > forget this device.
2. Your device should then show up on the list of “other devices“ at the bottom of the page.
3. Reconnect your Fitbit device

4. Force sync your device by:

    A. Drag down on the main Fitbit app dashboard

    B. Goto your account page.   Dashboard > click on your picture (upper left) > your device > scroll down to “sync now”

good luck!!!

I have exactly the same problem.

It won't work whatever I tried.

Must have something to do with the last update of my Apple Phone.

I tried all the steps you suggested and my Charge2 still is not syncing with either my iPad or iPhone.  I think it is due to updates on iOS as iPad synced prior to update yesterday while iPhone did not as it had its update earlier.

This fix, almost tantamount to “unplug device and start all over,” should not be necessary at all if FitBit was doing THEIR homework: they know when Apple is going to do an iOS upgrade, and have betas in their labs so they can do these fixes “in the factory” so we don’t have to tear our hair out reinventing the wheel.

had to do this, before it just kept trying to connect, remove, re-add, connected first time, same everytime there is an update.....

Wish I’d found Ashepard’s advice last night... THIS should be part of the Fitbit “sort it out” steps... spent hours last night force quitting and restarting my Fitbit - nothing.  One flick if the Bluetooth “forget this device” this morning and all immediately sorted.

thanks Ashepard!
