Charge 3 display corrupted

My Charge 3, which is about 6 weeks old has developed a dead horizontal line about 1/5 of the way down the screen. It's like a dead pixel, but extends right across the screen and always remains black. It's not too much of a problem; info is still easy to read, but it's clearly a fault and may get worse. I intend to return it for an exchange, but am posting to let other users know about this issue.

You need to contact Fitbit Support and ask for replacement within 1 year
warranty.

After all the posts above with several people saying they were on their 3rd+ replacement, it didn’t seem worth it.

Awww noooo... mine’s doing the same thing, except way worse. I’ve had my Fitbit for over a year and have loved this thing so much!

The “plugged in reset” didn’t work for me either ... 😞

I have SEVERAL lines and it’s impossible to tell the time. Every other function still works tho! So it’s okay if I check my phone app but this is a bummer! Just happened in the last few days.

Contact support as they are replacing mine even though it was 2 months out
of warranty.

CS will possibly give you a discount on a new unit and try to upsell you.
Unless you got an extended warranty they won't replace. I have had better
luck with the inspire line. The charge 3 was my first Fitbit, and I wasn't
interested in spending more if it was a faculty brand. Inspire has done
much better.

Maybe if we all complain to customer service they'll replace this "obviously" faulty product !!!

I'm having the same issue, but with several lines. I restarted my device, saw the smiley face, but the dead horizontal lines are still there.

They won’t go away and only get worse. Trust me on this. You will continue to get more lines until eventually the screen will either go all white or all black. Mine went all black.

I’ve tried to complain to customer service and even said to them on more than one occasion that I can’t be the only one with this problem. They pretty much ignore that and send you a new or refurbished one if your still under warranty.

Mine’s just doing the funky chicken now, when it’s charging it just goes
nuts. The HR monitor is dead now, it just tracks my steps. Can’t even keep
time cause I can’t see the faceplate - and yah, it’s getting worse and
worse. Just over a year old and I’m thinking of cutting ties altogether.
Why buy a new one per year? I’ve been trying to convince a few friends to
get on the FitBit wagon but I’m stopping that ASAP

This is my 3rd Fitbit device. The last two I had for a combined 5 years, so they used to make a good product. But I've only had this one since October and it has proven to be pretty disappointing between those annoying dead lines and the super-teeny-tiny info on the secondary screens.

I'd be happy to have them send me a replacement, but it sounds like previous posters have had a hard time getting a response...
