Charge 3 display corrupted

ANSWERED

My Charge 3, which is about 6 weeks old has developed a dead horizontal line about 1/5 of the way down the screen. It's like a dead pixel, but extends right across the screen and always remains black. It's not too much of a problem; info is still easy to read, but it's clearly a fault and may get worse. I intend to return it for an exchange, but am posting to let other users know about this issue.

Going to try it again. If it happens again, then I'll get a different one.

Good on the company for replacing it.

One wonders how good a replacement would be, as I haven't read anywhere that the company has corrected the issue.

Recall?

I tried this method but it did not resolve the problem of the black lines. The black lines increase day by day on my Fitbit charge 3.

It will continue to do so until eventually the whole screen goes black.  I've had 5 of them and the same thing keeps happening.  My latest one which I only got in March is getting worse and worse every day.  I will definitely never get another Charge but I'm seriously considering getting away from Fitbit altogether.  It's just not worth the aggravation anymore.

If it’s under warranty ask for replacement. There is a serious problem with components. It will not get better.

How to ask them for replacement, got it in US but I am in India.

Sorry to hear another someone having the same problem. You will have to
contact customer service, and find out if they will replace (in warranty)
or perhaps offer a discount on a new one. Good luck.

You would have to try chatting on the website. If that doesn't work, perhaps someone you know Stateside could try to help with it. I think there may even be a place to email on the website. Those are my best suggestions. Good luck

Mine is doing this as well in two places. Restarting did not help I have also developed a small “burn” on my arm, I don’t know if the two things are related or not

My partner and I both got small burns under the charge 3 display on our
wrists.. it only happened once around the same time.. very weird.. he still
Has his mine died and I got a charge 4 with an extended warranty. Will see.
Sometimes I do feel a slight heat on my wrist under the display though.

I’m having the same issue with a Charge 3 I bought in January has the same issue. The restart hasn’t worked.

Please can you advise, @AlejandraFitbit ?

Thanks,

Hi.

I just tried that solution, but it didn't work.

I also tried to reset it to factory settings, but still the same.

I also tried contacting by live chat, but with no luck.

And could not upload the image of my device, it says that I don't have permission to upload images.

Regards
