My Charge 3, which is about 6 weeks old has developed a dead horizontal line about 1/5 of the way down the screen. It's like a dead pixel, but extends right across the screen and always remains black. It's not too much of a problem; info is still easy to read, but it's clearly a fault and may get worse. I intend to return it for an exchange, but am posting to let other users know about this issue.

Totally agree with you! I've been through more times than I can count. They don't care that they have a piece of crap product.

I just spoke with someone who offered me a 35% discount. I tried to ask if there is anything more that can be done, but they said no. I had my first Fitbit for more than 4 years. The one that I have currently lasted 13 months. I am hesitant about purchasing another Fitbit product if it will only last another year.

The discounts offered aren’t so wonderful to make you want to purchase another device that more than likely won’t stand up for any length of time. Plus, you can get a 20% coupon any day of the week to purchase an item at Bed Bath & Beyond. As much as I’ve enjoyed it and the collection of fun bands I’ve assembled, I’m entertaining the idea of just switching to an Apple Watch. Anyone here have experience with that as an alternate?

Put your Fitbit in the charger and press the side button for 8 seconds when you see the smile . It should reboot your Fitbit charge 3 and Smile again , you can go to the settings and adjust brightness from Dim to Bright .
sorted mine out in about 2 minutes
There is a video on YouTube to watch .

I have the same issue with several horizontal dead lines and the time is not longer properly legible. My fitbit charge 3 was replaced for other issues so this is the only I got about a year ago from fitbit to replace the other one.

Please keep me informed as well... I tired the restart and it worked once, then display goes in responsive and when you restart you get the lines and changing clock faces also did not help

Hi!
I have multiple Black lines on my charge 3 display. Tried resetting several times but no joy. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Any luck if I bring back to fitbit? Have it for awhile but not used much.
thanks.

No help for me - the blacked-out horizontal lines remain after a reboot. The number of faulty lines seems to be increasing

What did they have you do to fix your Fitbit?

I'm having a similar problem with my Charge 3. I got it for Christmas 2019 and it looks like it's on the way out. There are multiple black lines across the display. I've tried restarting it multiple times without any success. I've never had it in water so that isn't the issue.

I have the same problem, black lines across the display and not holding a charge at all. Tried hard reset and still the same. Surely they should last longer than 18 months ?!! 😡 any advice other than bin it ??
