Charge 3 screen issues

Hello,

This morning, my Fitbit Charge 3 screen had gray lines going across it. It wasn't like this when I first got up the morning at 5:30am but appeared around 7am. It also doesn't seem to be reacting as well to my scrolling. It will still work but it seems slower and requires more pressure to scroll through the screens. Is there a problem with the screen? I have had this Fitbit for less than a month. I never have taken it into the shower or pool so the most water contact it has had is when I have washed my hands. I tried to reboot it and change the watchface but the gray lines are there. Any help would be much appearicated.

@mrbees500, welcome to the community. Here're few things you may try for troubleshooting:

 

1. Restart Charge 3

2. Change clock face (you can change it back to your preferred one later)

3. Perform Long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hello,

I tired what you had suggested and unforutunely they did not work. 😞 My
Charge 3 still has the gray lines and the touch screen is working but
barely. Attached is what it looks like.

I have tried all of the ideas on this forum and my fitbit charge 3 still has the grey screen.  Now when I do the long reboot, the progress bar stops at near the end and nothing happens.  I then disconnect it from the charging cable and it then brings up the smiling face and still has issues.

Hi. My charge 3 screen has got grey lines on it. I have read other posts regarding this and followed the instructions such as restarting it, changing clock face and holding down the but for 15 seconds but my screen is now grey all over. I’ve only had my charge 3 since May. Is there anything else I can try?

I have the same issue with the black and gray screen on my Fitbit. I've tried all the steps to reboot & also restart my device several times but the problem still persists. My screen won't scroll and it's now a nightmare to use interval timer to workout. 

 

I bought my device in October 2018 and support informed that my 'product does not meet the replacement requirement of the warranty policy'. This is very disappointing as it's been only over a year since I got my Fitbit and there seems to be no way to resolve this issue.

Mine did this Friday night when I put it on the charger. Mine has never been worn in the shower. I have tried the rest and placed it back on the charger and it is still showing this grayed screen with lines

I have same gray lines issue, restarted changed clock faces nothing changed.

 

i can’t email support for replacement or questions?

After doing all long restarts it now just shows black screen but it does sync with app, any other thoughts to get this going?

If you look online, there are various options to try and fix it. None of them worked for me. I then called Fitbit and they asked if I tried each of the steps (listing them to me) and after I acknowledged that I did, they said that I needed a replacement. Since mine was still within the warranty period, they sent me a new one (no band).

I have tried these steps, I was unable to perform a long restart, and the lines are still visible.

Any additional support you can provide would be much appreciated.

thats how mine looks now also...... I sent a message through facebook could not find any other way to reach them no way to get reach a contact option through the fitbit page always brings you back to the same support - community pages its like they don't want to communicate and help with issues.

This link takes me to the same page I have tried to find a contact through
and get nothing, only options is through twitter which I don't have and
will not sign up for there is no way to direct contact support....

you need to click email us , fill in what Fitbit you have etc. Type a brief message of your problem. They get back to you in a few days. I found them to be very helpful. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem with my fibit Charge 3

make a shutdown with 15s

restart with 8s 

restart from menu

and at last erase  all user data

just nothing happens 

what can i do
