Got this yesterday and the screen is already black and won’t turn on. Very very disappointed, looks like it’s a common issue. I’d rethink getting this, a shame it’s so common for the anticipation of this...

I tried this fix for my charge 3 , which went blank today . I followed directions to plug in to charge and held the button for several seconds . I got a white bar across the screen horizontal , but no happy face . What should I try ? It is still in the charger . It is fully charged

During the white bar phase I had to disconnect the power cable and the smile came up.

I had the same thing happen. It seemed the Fitbit was charged but the screen was black. I did the reset- and back to normal. Thank you!!!

This really is quite ridiculous. I have NEVER had an issue with ANY of my fitbit devices until the Charge 3. I JUST got a replacement a few months ago because random weird lines appeared on the screen of my original Charge 3 ("dead pixels") and it wouldn't even do a hard reset (I hold the button and it vibrates twice and goes to the notifications screen but won't restart) so they sent me a replacement. Now the replacement's screen today went black. 1) I'm at work and I don't carry a charging cable around with me everywhere I go because I expect my fitbit product to WORK, 2) I tried to reset it by holding the button for 8 seconds and again, it buzzes twice and does nothing, no restart--I've tried resetting it even while plugged in (yes, the replacement I got won't reset either but I figured it wasn't that big of a deal as I don't often need to reset it).
This is the very last fitbit product I will be spending any money on. At this point a replacement for my replacement seems like more effort than it would be to go to a store and get another non-fitbit brand wearable health tracker--you know, I'd have to wait for at least a week to get the replacement device and in that time not be able to track my heart rate, exercise, steps, etc. which will impact my current diet/exercise plans with Noom since I don't take my phone everywhere with me so some steps won't be counted on my iPhone's pedometer.
It seems that the fitbit devices of the past that actually worked and didn't have every single possible "bug" that could exist are extinct. This is how market share is lost. Congrats.

I have had mine since Christmas and today is the THIRD time it has gone blank. I am at work all day and cannot access my charger here. Very disappointed. Will NOT recommend this watch to anyone ever!

I tried all the tips here and nothing worked. SO my next step before returning it was to watch a you tube channel. Worked!!!

Had the same thing happen. I resolved it by opening the App on my phone and selecting a different clock face, after the sync I went back and selected the clock face I wanted.

Mine has happened 3 times in the last 2 months. Easy to fix if I am at
home.

I have had my Charge 3 for less than 3 months and was loving it until I went to see the time and screen was black. Button vibrated when I pushed it, but nothing came up on display. It was nearly fully charged, so that's not the issue. I tried putting it on the charger and plugging it in to do the hold the button and reset thing you guys suggested here, but no luck. Nothing displays on the screen. Do I need to return it to the store where I got it or what should I do? The thing was too expensive to last only 3 months!
