Got this yesterday and the screen is already black and won’t turn on. Very very disappointed, looks like it’s a common issue. I’d rethink getting this, a shame it’s so common for the anticipation of this...

This is my second Fitbit in less then 1.5 years that this has happened to. I have reset the clock a million times, it is 90% charges, still buzzing and connected disconnected reconnected to WiFi and still nothing. Why is this a known issue that is not resolved. Please log a case and send a new Fitbit. Disappointed

I've tried resetting for days now and it's not working. I get the smiley face, but the screen is still black. I've also tried changing the clock face but my phone cant find it for some reason.

I hope you aren’t paying for these replacements...Please tell me Fitbit is sending them to you. I mean, you really should be getting your money back at this point, though. Or like a warranty that you’ll have a usable fitbit3 for at least two years, subtracting out all the time wasted with your watches in the mail.

If you are lucky enough and your Fitbit Charge 3 is under the warranty time period, yes, they will ship you the replacement free. I've had this happen twice now. I was afraid the second one would not be under the warranty time period but they actually went from the time the replacement was shipped, so it was good. This second time, though, I was offered either a replacement at no charge or a discount on one of their newer models. If it happens to me a third time, I think I will take the discount and try another style. (I never had these issues with my Fitbit Charge 2, so I keep it charged - just in case!)

Yes same exact story here. Looking they this community apparently it is a known BUG. I wish they would just fix it, I mean I’m very grateful they are shipping me a new one but I’d rather just have the 1 I purchased work! This will be my 3rd in less then 1 yr

I've had my fitbit charge 3 since Christmas and it has had the black screen a couple times and the usual fixes worked, this time my fitbit had an update that I hadn't gotten around to installing until yesterday now my Charge 3 has the black screen and none of the fixes are working. It is still doing it's thing and syncing with the app, just rather annoying that I can't see the clock face or see how many steps I have unless I have the app up and running on my phone all the time. Personally I think the issue is with the updates that get sent out otherwise you wouldn't have this many customers having this issue.

My screen went blank yesterday. Can not get it back. I’ve tried connecting it to the charger and restarting it. Nothing. I also tried changing the clock face from my phone. Nothing. This is the second issue I’ve had with this FitBit. The first issue was the Bluetooth packing up! So this is a refurb replacement! Annoyed as I only purchased it at the end of February this year! And to have two problems already! Rubbish.

So this is my second Fitbit Charge 3 and the screen is black again. I have tried to reset it with the instructions provided and have also tried changing the clock but nothing works. It is still syncing so I am still wearing it but it's quite frustrating. Haven't even owned a Charge 3 for a year...…… : (

So I have 2 Fitbit charge 3's I had bought 1 for myself, which mine now has the black screen as I stated above, my son's he hasn't taken out of the box and is still new. I decided to use his to replace mine, got it all setup and added to my account and the fitbit updated and now it's got the black screen, brand new out of the box and Blam it updates and goes black screen and none of the resets or clock face changes worked on it. So if there was a way to roll back and update to an earlier state I think that the new update is broken and is breaking the Fitbit's.

What's really funny about all that is I don't think Fitbit realizes that their update is breaking the charge 3. There's so much evidence of it it makes me wonder why they're not fixing it. It's really weird. I'm definitely sticking away from Fitbit because of the way the company's handling this. It's totally understandable having a problem like this but the way they have handled it is reflecting on who they are as a company and I don't like that and probably won't trust any of their other devices with the way they're handling this problem. I will tell you what though. I did wind up getting myself a Galaxy watch when I was sick of having my charge 3 replaced by Fitbit due to this problem and having the new watch really shows me how limited the charge 3 really was. And after looking around at other SmartWatches I think we all might want to consider shopping around instead. My paid only $50 more for this then when I bought my Fitbit.

FitBit monitors can you not do something about this KNOWN BUG?
