Charge 3 screen went blank

I've had my Charge 3 a little over a month. Last night my screen went blank. It was at 100% battery. It is still syncing with the app so I can see that it is still tracking my steps and sleep, etc. When I tried to restart it by placing it on the charger and holding down the side button for 8 secs. When I hold the button down it does a very quick pulse vibe about 4 times and then nothing. I've tried holding it longer than 8 secs also and still nothing. Very frustrated to be having this issue with a brand new product. Contemplating returning the one I bought my husband for Christmas and returning mine as well if not resolved immediately.

Hello I am having the same problem and the steps you mentioned are not helping me.  We recently bought two charge 3 and would really hate to return them.  What are my other options? When can I expect to be contacted?

I have had my Charge 3 since Xmas 2018. Received as a gift. Middle 2019 the battery died and got a new face (under warranty). Just the other day it died again and was hot on the charger. I have subsequently taken it off the charger. I cannot pick up any link between mobile and device. The face is black. There is no vibration, no green lights at back and will not restart even after undertaking the tips suggested in the community forum. Any suggestions? Or should I just toss this piece of rubbish! The Corona virus will last longer than this device! I am seriously dissatisfied!!!

I've tried the sequence posted several times, and im still getting the blank screen. the button vibrates and its tracking steps, but nothing on the screen. I have tried the sequence process at least 20 times.

My Fitbit has a blank screen too. I tried your suggestions a number of times, mines still not working! I'm so lost without my Fitbit 😔

Or you can change the clock face and it'll show again. However I'm looking for a more permanent solution... This happens to me every few weeks.

The problem with the Fitbit Charge 3 occurs approx. every other day, I have no problem rebooting it, but I now consider it useless. 

Fitbit (whatever model) will not be bought again in this family.

So this happens on my Charge 3 about once every 2 weeks....the reset works but if I’m not around my cable I’m stuffed.  Occasionally it comes back on its own after several hours.  This is super disappointing....there has to be some sort of ‘global fix’ that Fitbit can work on....

I’m having the same issue; the screen is blank but the device vibrates when I press the button and it seems to be tracking everything as normal, I just can’t see anything. It first happened a couple days ago, I restarted a bunch of times and eventually it worked again. Then the screen was blank again when I woke up yesterday. I’ve tried many times both the standard restart and longer version described in this post, as well as trying to change the clock face in the app. Still no improvement. Please help!

I have the same problem, the screen is blank it still vibrate when on the charge. Have tried to put in charge and hold button down remove from charge and replace but no joy.

please advise what I can try? N

If it’s still under warranty, call and get replaced. Otherwise, you’re screwed. They refused to do anything with mine because the warranty ran out a month before it stopped working.

I have tried the advice given in your reply but I still have a blank black screen.

The fitbit fibrates during the 15 second hold and when reconnected to the charger.

Otherwise nothing.

Please help.

Push button in while it is charging if this doesn't work i have no idea good luck

I contacted FitBit, went through everything with them and they have now replaced it.
