Charge 3 screen went blank

I've had my Charge 3 a little over a month. Last night my screen went blank. It was at 100% battery. It is still syncing with the app so I can see that it is still tracking my steps and sleep, etc. When I tried to restart it by placing it on the charger and holding down the side button for 8 secs. When I hold the button down it does a very quick pulse vibe about 4 times and then nothing. I've tried holding it longer than 8 secs also and still nothing. Very frustrated to be having this issue with a brand new product. Contemplating returning the one I bought my husband for Christmas and returning mine as well if not resolved immediately.

Unfortunately my charger never came back to life! Thankfully it was still within the 2 year guarantee and Fitbit send me a new charger.

I believe the warranty in Australia is only 12 months so I think I am stuffed. I did have issues with the battery last year which was covered under warranty. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers

The answer did not work because when I plug my fitbit into the charger than came with it, you cannot charge it and reach the button

 

This is the second major problem I have had with my Fitbit 3.  I'm beginning to think that Fitbit support is non-existent.

I have a Charge 3. I tried pressing the two buttons on either side for eight seconds. I get a buzz, then another. Then nothing. No happy face at all. I got a happy face a few days ago--but still couldn't get the device to reset. Now I get nothing.

So what happens after you get the smiley face? My screen is still blank after that. I keep getting a smiley face, then nothing happens.

My device is dead. It doesn't turn on, light up or vibrate and I have tried all suggestions in this forum. And trying to contact Fitbit direct  - impossible. They are hopeless. I had a battery issue last year which was replaced under warranty (in Australia 1 year). But it looks like it has happened again but now it's outside warranty period. 😒

Try syncing and you should sync everyday , good luck

My Fitbit charge 3 has a blank screen every time there is an update. After
I update, my screen reappears. I don't know much about any of the other
problems people have been having as far as their screen going blank.

Thanks so much.  Unfortunately, mine is been blank for over 3 months.  Maybe I need to try an Apple Watch instead

I did the hard re-set 3 times, 

  • Plug the device into the charging cable.
  • While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  • Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen.
  • Remove the device from the charging cable.
  • Plug the device into the charging cable again.
  • SMILEY FACE DID NOT APPEAR ON SCREEN

Screen remained blank. Device still tracking, but screen not working. Please help!

I tried so many different ways....holding down 8 seconds or 15 seconds.  My screen is still dark.  But Charge 3 is still working because I can see it is totally functional on my iPhone FitBit App.

I have done this several times. I even called customer support four weeks ago and they said you were mailing me another charge 3. I know we are in a unique situation but any word on the timing of shipping products?

Does it need to be updated?whenever my Fitbit goes dark it's usually
because it needs an update. But yes iPhone app works just fine .

I can sync my FitBit and can see all activities on the App.  My screen were very dim for months before it finally died.

I have the same dead screen issue with my charge 3. The steps that you suggest have not fixed the device. The charge 3 is completely inoperable, do you have any other suggestions for fixing this issue?
