Charge 3 screen went blank

I've had my Charge 3 a little over a month. Last night my screen went blank. It was at 100% battery. It is still syncing with the app so I can see that it is still tracking my steps and sleep, etc. When I tried to restart it by placing it on the charger and holding down the side button for 8 secs. When I hold the button down it does a very quick pulse vibe about 4 times and then nothing. I've tried holding it longer than 8 secs also and still nothing. Very frustrated to be having this issue with a brand new product. Contemplating returning the one I bought my husband for Christmas and returning mine as well if not resolved immediately.

Yes, I called and went through all the steps I had previously done and they sent me a new Fitbit, Charge 3.  I kept my old band.  So far so good, but it has only been since May 2020.  I had bought the misfunctioning one in June 2019 and the paperwork said I had a two year warranty.

My screen has gone blank, my fitbit is 11 months old. It's still syncing with my phone. Tried the solution on this thread several times but still not working??

you should call customer service ASAP - once your year is up they won’t do anything (besides a small discount) for you. They don’t stand behind their product, this is an ongoing issue that they are WELL aware of, yet continue selling defective products.
Shame on them.

I have the same issue but my charge 3 is over a year old..... So, I was told tough luck, you will have to buy a new one. Well this was my third and last Fitbit device. I should have known, my first one only lasted a few months, the second one was just over a year and now my third one only lasted around 1 1/2 years. These are too expensive to replace every year. Good luck Fitbit users, I'm done!

It’s a very frustrating problem. After trying all the quick fixes suggested by Fitbit I got in contact with Customer Services. After they established the unit was not repairable they offered me a fre replacement.

I’ve tired all the recommendations, changed the clock face, hard restart and disconnecting the device from the app via bluetooth disconnection and deleting app account….THE SCREEN IS STILL BLACK AND USELESS!!

This Charge 3 is only 6 months old!!

I tried all of this fixes and none worked.  I left the Fitbit in the charger, unused for almost a month and finally got the screen back save for 2 black lines running through the face.  I called Customer Support, no other fixes, out of warranty so too bad so sad - here's 25% off a few options.  I'm seriously considering getting a samsung gear or other fitness wearable.

Hi @AlejandraFitbit . i followed the instructions the you told but my charge 3 is still not working. My charge 3 's screen is completely black. I hope there is some other way to fix it.

I've encountered the "Fitbit Charge 3 screen went blank".  The sequence of pressing the button for 15 seconds + unseating/reseating on the charge cable didn't work. Now what?

I have the same problem and tried this and it is not working. It is still tracking everything and syncing to my phone. I have tried changing the clock to no avail and looking if it needs updating which it doesn't. It's still blank the screen
