I've had my Charge 3 a little over a month. Last night my screen went blank. It was at 100% battery. It is still syncing with the app so I can see that it is still tracking my steps and sleep, etc. When I tried to restart it by placing it on the charger and holding down the side button for 8 secs. When I hold the button down it does a very quick pulse vibe about 4 times and then nothing. I've tried holding it longer than 8 secs also and still nothing. Very frustrated to be having this issue with a brand new product. Contemplating returning the one I bought my husband for Christmas and returning mine as well if not resolved immediately.

Mine does the same blank screen yet message tells me it was synced a few minutes ago and that it's aT 100% charged. I tried all of the suggestions including the detailed directions about holding it 15 sec; unplugging then re plugging. Still black.
And yes, it still is counting steps, etc but screen is black.

Thos has happened to mine a few times and this time the reset isnt working at all

Did not work for me. Didn't make any change. Still totally black screen. I bought this second Charge 3 after my first one went black after 14 months of use. My second one was purchased 1-2-20 and went totally black on June 21, 2020..I love the Charge 3 EXCEPT for this major defect. Any other ideas? Thanks much!

I definitely think this is a battery issue. I have seen a couple of posters say their battery shows 88% which is also what mine shows. When I log in to the app, it says it’s fully charged. The reset worked once, the first time, but a couple hours later the screen is black again and cannot get it to reset. I am out of warranty so looks like I am probably SOL.

This did not work for me... 8 seconds while connected to charger, 15 seconds, 30 seconds... nothing worked.. HELP... it is tracking steps and sleep hours but it is a watch too.. quite useless if the display isnt visible.

UPDATE: There was a massive update that pushed from my fitbit app (not the app store) tonight that fixed this. The update took over 30 mins so be prepared to wait.

I think mine is done- since I unpaired it from my phone -didn’t think about needing to see the screen for the number to re-pair/sync it.
So I won’t be able to get an update for it.

I did the update as well and but didn't fix the issue . I contacted fitbit through twitter and they are replacing my bitbit as it is still under warranty

I have tried all the suggestions about no display on the screen. None of them have worked. Please is here another suggestion that I might use.

Hi I have blank screen on my Fitbit. I have tried the fix several time but this hasn’t worked. The device still work fine apart from that.

Have issues with my charge 3 I have tried the hold button down for 15 seconds while have the device plugged in to the power source but still no luck. Actually I have tried it at least 3-4 times any other suggestions
