Charge 3 screen went blank

I've had my Charge 3 a little over a month. Last night my screen went blank. It was at 100% battery. It is still syncing with the app so I can see that it is still tracking my steps and sleep, etc. When I tried to restart it by placing it on the charger and holding down the side button for 8 secs. When I hold the button down it does a very quick pulse vibe about 4 times and then nothing. I've tried holding it longer than 8 secs also and still nothing. Very frustrated to be having this issue with a brand new product. Contemplating returning the one I bought my husband for Christmas and returning mine as well if not resolved immediately.

My Charge 3 no longer displays; it’s gone black; it still syncs and gives me notifications but without any digital display. I tried a hard reboot. This is what I got.

See the suggestions for blank screen on this page. I had to call Fitbit support.

Now it no longer syncs or gives notifications. I’ll call customer support. Thanks

I just encountered the same problem today - blank and unresponsive screen but seem to continue to record steps, heartbeat etc. How can this be resolved?

I read a few comments about this. I tried placing my Fitbit on the charging cable and pressing the button down for 15 seconds. It did not work. I read another comment that someone had to do this three days in a row before it worked. So, I have been trying this with my Fitbit for an entire week with no success. I also tried changing the clock face. No luck.

It’s really very frustrating, as my “watch” is now a step counting band instead of really usable for the features I wanted it for in the first place.

what else can I do?

I called Fitbit support. They said I had done all the recommendations. My warranty had expired so I got a discount on a new one. Sorry. I kept hoping there was a fix since it still recorded everything.

Holding for 15 and unplugging and plugging back in did not work

Nothing happened. There’s some vibrations, but the display remains completely black. Restarting and changing the display face doesn’t work.

I have tried this sequence about 5 times and the screen is still blank. Other ideas?

I finally talked to Customer Support after trying everything. Fortunately, it was still under warranty and I was able to replace it with a Charge 4.

They didn’t have any other fix for this issue.
