I've had my Charge 3 a little over a month. Last night my screen went blank. It was at 100% battery. It is still syncing with the app so I can see that it is still tracking my steps and sleep, etc. When I tried to restart it by placing it on the charger and holding down the side button for 8 secs. When I hold the button down it does a very quick pulse vibe about 4 times and then nothing. I've tried holding it longer than 8 secs also and still nothing. Very frustrated to be having this issue with a brand new product. Contemplating returning the one I bought my husband for Christmas and returning mine as well if not resolved immediately.

This solution is Not working for me. The screen is still black. It is charged and does vibrate. What else can I try????

The smiley face appears as per your instructions, but the screen is still very, very dim. I can get to settings, and can adjust between "Normal" and "Auto" but neither one gives me an acceptable (ie. readable) screen in anything but a very dark room. Tried this twice to no avail.

@AlejandraFitbit I had a similar issue. My sleep is noted/syncing from last night, but no steps today. I have tried two different chargers and the steps you noted pressing the button, but nothing. I still have a blank screen. Next steps? This is a replacement that I have had I believe for over a year I had the same issue happen with the last one.

Morning Alejandra. I’ve tried this on my Fitbit this morning and it doesn’t work. Is there anything else I can try to get the blank screen to start working again?

Hi tried this. At about 10 seconds of the hold I get a smiley face, I keep holding on to 15, screen is blank, remove finger from button, blank screen. Remove from charging cable, plugged in again . . . Nothing.
Tried 6 times.
Also tried changing clock faces. I can see the little line go across the screen . . .then blank again.
I will note that the above procedure did work for me in the past three times . . .it is not working for me now.

My Fitbit charge 3 has screen death. I’ve come here for help and followed the directions to get screen back and nothing.. it still works in every other way but a completely blank screen.. I also did the change clock face as suggested somewhere else.. and that too failed to bring screen back to life..
help please

My charge 3's screen froze while checking power. I put it on the charger. The app tells me it's charged and it tracks steps, but there is no screen image. I've tried various reset processes, numerous times, but no change. Is there anything else to try?

I tired all the above (AFAIK) and eventually did a couple chats with FB about this. After performing lots of steps directed by FB chat, it worked OK. BUT I still had a prompt to "Install Upgrade". So I did that. It downloaded for 30-40 minutes, and then went into "Installing" for another 20 minutes or so. At the end, it said "Try again" Arrrgggghhhh.
But even worse than that, now I do NOT have any display tho I did the reset steps in the cradle as before. I chatted again, and we changed clock face via my Android app (which is working fine and telling me what FB is saying, tho I can't see it on the FB display). But still no display. Doing resets again will get me a smiley face, and if the room is dark enough I can see a VERY DIM display for a little while. But that soon disappears and blank screen again is all I have.
My FB is 16 mths old so out of warranty. They offered me a 35% discount, but the problem is THEIR SOFTWARE UPGRADE that bricked my FB! And I'm in Indonesia, so their offer is not good for me anyhow. Grrrrrrrrr! Next time I won't be buying anything from FB.

For the last week my Fitbit charge 3s as had a blank screen, now it’s also not connecting to my phone.
im really frustrated that nothing is working 😕

Update:
Since the FB was still working but not displaying, I kept it on for several more days and used the app to track, then recharged the battery. Meanwhile I'd bought a Mi Band 5 for less than 1/4 the price (~$30 here in Indonesia) to replace the FB.. Then the FB started displaying again(!) tho I didn't do anything. But mostly it's too dim to see in daylight and sometimes even in the shade it's not comfortably bright. I've been wearing both now for a week, just to compare. Love the Mi Band's bright display, tho their app leaves something to be desired. But it's plenty good enough for me, and even if it only lasts another 1.5 years like my FB did, I'm much better off.
